What is this game... mod? (HL2)

All I can remember is it's horror-based, supposedly very good and requires HL2: EP2 to play. I recently got HL2: EP2 so I wanted to check it out, but fuck if I can remember the name and Google isn't helping!

No. It was free (as far as I can remember) and was single player. Might've had a multiplayer aspect, dunno.

And it REQUIRED Episode 2, as in, it wasn't a stand-alone product that you could install on its own.

I don't have good memory, but I think that's how Killing floor started. I don't remember well, so I'm probably wrong.


Edit: Wikipedia to the rescue. It started out as a UT2004 mod. Woops.

One "horror" game I have that requires EP2 is Korsakovia. But it doesn't involve weapons at all.

Maybe? That's the thing, I can't bloody remember anything about it.

Just that it's horror based, single player and requires Episode 2.

Like, if I saw a description of it again, I'd probably get it right away.

Actually, sorry, the mod I'm thinking of might have been a Half-Life mod.

Nope, that was a UT2K4 mod as well, I distinctly remember reading about it in PC Gamer

Korsakovia is the one I think got more media attention, I remember seeing it mentioned at many gaming sites when it was released.

This one doesn't require HL2: Ep. 2 but it's worth checking out I think. Never did get around to finishing it though.

It's not horror, but Research and Development requires episode 2.

Dear Esther isn't really horror and doesn't require Ep2, but maybe you're thinking of that?

Minerva doesn't require Episode 2 either, and it's not strictly horror, but I found it fairly scary.

All of these had a fair bit of acclaim.

Zombie Escape is the only Mod that I could find that *requires* Episode 2, and is survival horror, so it might be that


Edit: The other mod that i thought of was "Alans" but I'm not sure of it's survival horror creditability
