[Kickstarter] and the funding of indies

Alright, first off in the interest of full disclosure I want all of you to know that I'm using Kickstarter to help get funds for a project I'm working on. The project can be found here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mlubker/purify-puzzle-a-multiplayer-puzzle-game?pos=1 I'd massively appreciate any support the denizens of PA would provide, but talking about my project isn't the sole goal of this post.
I'd like to talk about Kickstarter. It's an indie funding website for various things, from art projects and movies all the way to, yes, video games. It's a pretty marvelous thing, with projects asking for support in an NPR-like method with pledges and prizes.
I'm a pretty new developer on the indie scene and a coworker tweaked me onto the site, and I think (rather obviously) that it's marvelous for the small-time game developer. It's at once a great proof of concept and a great way to develop a personal relationship with fans and supporters. Money is perpetually a headache for small developers and this site can ameliorate some of those concerns. Developers have used Kickstarter to pay for everything from contest entry fees to 3 months of dev time. It's a fantastic way for gamers to support the kinds of small, indie projects that are really fueling innovation in the industry.
To get folks started, here's a small group of projects that I thought were awesome:

Anyways, so your game is kinda like a tetris style thinger?
As to my project, it's a match-3 puzzle title mostly inspired by Bubble Bobble, Puyo Pop, and Super Puzzle Fighter. It's actually pretty difficult, but (in my biased opinion) difficult in a way that made the old arcade games awesome to play.
