Well, he actually didn't encounter any military. I also didn't establish anything for him to take. Still, his aggressive move against me happened in the same fashion as last time, only at the start of the game instead of the end.
Oh likely mine. But at least it will be entertaining.

Y'know what's fucking great? Imperfect and I were talking toward the start about teaming up.
And just like LAST GODDAMN GAME he takes a swing at me. Hence the bigass brawl that just happened today at the core of the galaxy. Only this time at least he isn't anonymous to me. Should've seen it coming.

Just started my first game of this, and here's what I found in the chat:
Sion: hey
Sion: I'm going to murder you all.
Sion: haha just joking
Sion: but if anyone gets in the way of my advancing expansion or crosses my borders, I will be forced to strike you down.
Sion: I mean, I will seriously fucking murder you.

So I missed the end of our latest game. Mostly because I got consumed.
Yeah, that happened to most. I basically sucked up to yellow and slid into second place.
I considered backstabbing him at the last moment, but realized that he was so far ahead of everyone at that point that it wouldn't have made any difference to the game at all.
We intentionally left one of your stars alone, Henroid, in case you wanted to pop back in and see how things went.
Overall flow of the game: Early trades between Henroid and Imperfect left me worried as Red pushed to the middle, but then he turned on you and took your central planet. Quick fight between Red/Orange and Red/Cyan ensued, then I brought a massive fleet through and up into Orange's territory, establishing a full alliance with Red at the time. Purple hunkered down and Cyan focused on building up economy and science, falling behind in industry.
With no support, Orange was quickly taken down, then Red broke most of Purple's central fleets, allowing me to sweep through and deep into Purple. Cyan was still building up at that point, while expanding into all of Blue's outer planets, briefly taking the lead in total planets from me during that expansion. Purple got broken, then I turned fleets toward Cyan to pick up the rest of the planets for victory, while Red mopped up Purple for second place.
The Red/Yellow/Purple battle didn't end up the way I expected; somehow, instead of me throwing my fleet at his defenses, trading my ships to weaken him for Red to finish off, he slipped from me and traded ships with Red instead. That left me with much more industry than anyone else, and I was able to run away with the victory from there, but I made sure my ally (Red) took second, with my early trade partner (Cyan) falling back to third.

The fucked up thing is that I conducted trades with purple and red, and yellow I was considering but I wasn't sure if you were allied with red or not. I was hesitant to form a three-way alliance because it was a small map and low-count of players.
At the start of the game, I saw you and red trading techs. I tried to use that to talk Purple into joining up with me (since his neighbors were cooperating), but he wouldn't go for it. Thus, I was left scrambling for tech trades. Made an early agreement with Cyan, but he didn't keep his science up at the start, and so I ended up mainly trading with Red, leading to our eventual alliance (and ultimate domination of the game).
I wasn't sure what you were up to early, though--took a long time before you started putting more money into science.

What I learned in this game is that if you're gonna make trade agreements, you better be beefing up your science because you'll become a bad trade partner. And turned on.
Watch the graph for one player to gain a tech, then shortly after another player gains that tech and the first player picks up a tech the second guy knew. (No one has traded yet in this game, though; I'll post a picture of it when it happens, if I think of it.)
Yeah, a lot of folks share an IP address, but they're not all on the same IP address. There's two offices here, and everyone inside each office loves the concept of back-stabbery, so don't expect same-IP dudes to necessarily be working together.
Game starts when those two spots are taken up or in at 1400 EST.

Are we putting any sort of limits on those, or just anything goes?
Just like the real world, mang.
I wonder how this will turn out, seeing that it's a well-balanced spiral map. Well, at least it'll be fun, no matter the outcome

Are you roleplaying an immortal being who has been reincarnated into another universe, but retains memories of old ones, hmmmm?
BRB, off to roleplay.
Have we confirmed everyone is present / active in the game? There's a couple players I'm worried about.
All players except ginsberg have moved already... If someone's not active, it's him.

Also, I'm selling out hostiles' information I know publicly in-game.
We play these games because we want to hate and be hated.
I'm just tryin' to be #1. =3
I predict a bloodbath!

a) I wanted to play the bad guy who goes early-expansionist, so we didn't dance around the middle all game, and
b) You left your star wiiiide open.
Is anyone else having problems with the game not loading at all?

My response?
Jacoby: Duly noted.
This should be fun.

Fuckers.
I think I'll have to play a game of this where I'm a Good Ally and let someone else mix it up to make things "interesting".
