A friend and mine are starting a blog just for fun and seeing where it goes. We have some topics we want to talk about and I'm going to give a format of how we do things and maybe make everyday a different topic (but still in the same area of things.)
Our topics will include mainly "guy" things like sports, beer and whatever else we feel is pertinent.
I've never done anything like this, though. So I'm just asking for some advice as far as where to go with all of this.
I have some CSS/HTML knowledge so that'll be fun to get back into.
We both come from journalism backgrounds (he's graduated with a PR degree and I'm in my last year of the broadcast journalism program) so the writing isn't so much an issue.
But ya, that was one of my questions; Blogger or Wordpress? So far I've been writing the first post with Wordpress and really enjoy it so far.

It's dirt cheap to get hosting and a domain nowadays, and it gives you the freedom to tinker with as much of the PHP/HTML/etc as you like.
That way, even if the blog doesn't "take off", you can at least gain some technical practice and expertise from the experience.
