i saw primus a few years ago
you will not be disappointed
I missed them the last time they came to Toronto in '06 I believe. I fell just short of the age limit only being 17. I was heartbroken. Now I'm so glad I get the opportunity to see them.
edit - Googling it to check, I would have been old enough 7 days after the date.
I flew up to wellington from dunedin (also my first flight, about 600km) to see Meshuggah, my first proper metal concert (had seen maiden before in pussy seated bullshit, not making that mistake again) and then flew back the next day at 5am to go to lectures since it was the first week of classes. That was a fun couple of days.
I have been to a lot of concerts for tiny bands that i have never heard of before. I love where I live for that.
To this end, I've seen easily over a thousand bands, and while most weren't good, I think you get a better than average rate of good live performances with pretty much no expectations.

I am so god damned fucking excited that Primus is touring, you don't even know
they were the last band on my list of bands I really loved from my adolescence that I never thought I'd get to see
there's fuck all concerts of even local bands here, and barely any more anywhere else on the entire island. I have to fly to get to basically any concert, it sucks.
I saw the first concert in seattle by the band Hollywood Undead last year and i also saw Nightwish on Halloween it was epic but im too broke to go to any concerts right now

Surprisingly the best concerts so far have been for jazz bands.

If you don't know that is awesome look it up.
just wait till you see optime open for them
They're touring with Beach House. If Beach House plays before them, I'll probably just end up bailing after BH's set. Not a big Vampire Weekend guy.
Got tickets to Arcade Fire and mewithoutYou in August. Waiting for Matt & Kim tickets to go on sale for September.

Yeah apparently I saw them when I was like 6. I don't think they've even played live here once since they got big.
