Posting flyers inside my private gated community [SOLVED]
I posted a bunch of flyers for a volunteering event last night around my condo complex. I left my email at the bottom of the flyer for interested parties to contact me.
This morning I got an email from one of the "Onsite Community Association Managers" saying all my flyers have been removed, because of some "no soliciting" rule as well as it being a private gated community.
The issues:
This is not a for-profit endeavor.
I live there, so it being a private gated community isn't quite relevant.
There are various other flyers that are commonly posted around the place, mostly for stuff like "come do yoga with us at the on-site gym" or "movie night in the common area!", which also count as soliciting, and those are tolerated for some reason
I replied to the email and demanded an explanation and asked them if there is an official approval process one must go through. Frankly, having wasted 2 hours posting flyers only to have them removed the following morning pisses me off.
What are my options? The event in question is next week and I don't want to waste any time dealing with a retarded bureaucracy. If I repost the flyers, do I risk more serious consequences? Should I just post them immediately outside the complex, maybe on the telephone poles near gates (which they can't do anything about since they aren't within the borders of the community)?

You live in a gated community. You don't really have options.
I have a feeling if you had run it by your board before posting the flyers, they might have allowed it.
Never mind. Got an email saying they didn't know I lived there. They thought I was some random person coming in without permission and posting flyers. They said I can get it approved later today and post them again.

Does your volunteer bit include the complex? As in does your flyer have something to do with the neighborhood/community or whatever? If not I could see why your flyers get trashed and others don't. Those you named specifically at least have something to do with the community and the complex facilities so that seems reasonable.
Is your complex governed by an HOA? If it is there basically isn't shit you can do as your HOA answers to no one. You would have to check your bylaws as to what they can do for punishment if you repost your flyers or do some other action. They might assess fines or you may just a get a door knock visit.

Depending on the agreement, they could potentially levy a fine against you, for future reference.
