Which graphics card should I get

So I got up this morning and my awesome 9800GT had inexplicably fucking died overnight. I haven't been following the whole video card scene lately and have pretty much completely lost track of what's good since I bought the 9800GT and stopped having to care (as of last night it still ran pretty much everything at 1920x1200 super duper smoothly).

Money is an issue but I just want to be up and running to at least the standard I'm used to as soon as possible and no longer have any idea what's awesome. I heard there was some kind of amazing ATI card that was super cheap recently, I think, but I wasn't really listening.

So, what should I buy?

Amazing and super cheap ATI card? Why that'd be thar 5770. It's got DX11 for a little future proofing, great performer on current games.

This is a good one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150462&cm_re=5770-_-14-150-462-_-Product

XFX is probably the best ATI partner out there. Double lifetime warranty can't be beat.

    edit:

In the interest of full disclosure, that is the card I have. But I'm pretty sure it's what you were talking about. I too game at 1920x1200 and got a 5770 to replace my dead 8800GT. This thing is running everything out there at max settings right now (Exception Crysis), really can't think of a better option for ~$150. You could go Nvidia, get a GTX 260 (the closest match to the 5770) but it's gonna run you closer to $200 for not a whole lot of extra performance. And no DX11!

Yeah, that's what I'm looking at. I can only find it for $200 though (Australia yo').

Also, I kind of dig physx, can you not roll with that at all on an ATI card?

PhysX is owned by Nvidia, so no.

    I've ordered a 5770, hopefully it's awesome.

Does anything actually use DX11 yet?

    Yes.

It's probably going to get adopted much faster than DX10 did; since Windows 7 is getting adopted at a higher rate and whatnot.
