I've been crying 'holy fuck' and flinching the entire time.
About halfway through... my favorite part so far - (fairly early on):
The fake spider outside of the little "clubhouse". It gave me pause and then I noticed it was fake and I chuckled.

So yeah, this game is really really awesome in every single way.
I'm stuck on a puzzle though, I looked at the chapter menu and I'm about 3/4 of the way through if that helps. Anyway, the puzzle in question
is the one where you're riding the mine cart and you leap off as the mine cart hits a button causing some tracks above you to electrify. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make the cart go slow enough so I can make it across the top tracks.
OK, here is a dumb question because I have decided I really want this game:
If I set up my 360 to go online, can I just make a free account and buy this game, or do I need to go with the paid one? I really want to buy this game, but I've never set up any of my consoles for online before and I don't want to have to pay for a year of the Xbox thing to get it.

I am 99% sure you can buy it with the free account. And you could set it all up on your PC, buy it on your PC (via XBox.com) and then just hook up your XBox to let it download.

Xbox Live Silver is the free online account open to everyone. Xbox Live Gold is the paid online account that lets you play multiplayer and do a few other things (Netflix, occasional XBLA sales, etc.) All you have to do is create an Xbox Live Silver account; I don't know if they're still doing it, but back in the day, when you created your Silver account on the Xbox itself, it gave you a one-month trial of Gold for free. You might be able to do this, but either way, you don't need Gold to buy XBLA games, rent movies or whatever media they're trying to sell you. :P

Hey folks, I was talking to Moe on IRC and figured I'd come in here and check out what you were saying about Limbo. I reviewed it, and gave it a 3.5 out of 5 on our site. Felt it was a pretty solid puzzle platformer that, once you got past the aesthetic, didn't really do anything special. Yay to Penny Arcade.
How do people LP 360 games anyway? It seems like it'd be tough/expensive to do without a camcorder.
I don't really know shit about this stuff, but I usually see people talk about gamebridges or something like that.
Um, you can hook your console to your PC through certain recording devices. I have said device, but I need to figure out how to record in a decent resolution.
Limbo, like other effective horror games, works its creepy magic in broad daylights with the lights on. Seriously don't need to play with the lights off...I'm usually not freaked out by spiders but that part was just
I scare very easily—like, Dead Space on Normal terrified me when I played with headphones, and honest to God I stopped playing Eternal Darkness after the bathtub scene. Going by some of the responses here, I might be glad that this game is only a few hours long.

Blaspheme. There is only one way to play this! Alone in the dark!
WHY can I not figure out what to do here. I'm near the beginning,
past the bear traps and the falling rock log and such. I'm at a small body of water with a pushable crate next to it, and I can't for the life of me get across. I've tried floating across, I've tried running on the top of the box, I know it must be something simple, but I just can't get it.

shit well i'm stuck, leaderboard says 32%
there are 2 ropes that you can hold onto to open up two big rock gates and a mine cart, i'm assuming you have to somehow tie the ropes to the minecart? I have no idea what to do
edit - ugh and right after I post that I figure it out

The buzz factor for this game is off the charts. I am trying to not get my hopes tooooo high up.
I'm settling for watching No Country For Old Men, which is also pure scenery porn.

I almost want to see someone LP this game, but it's one of those games where LPing it/not actually playing it yourself alone... it would lessen the experience. Guess i'll have to wait for a PC port or something before I can give it a go. Looks beautiful in every way thus far.

I made it to the little patch of web on the ground in the demo, and as soon as I saw something behind me I went straight to the dashboard.
We're gonna need a let's play of this in the near future.

How about 1-time CCard and the xbox.com website? I have no idea the logistics of this, but it might work.

All right, people. It is not a gerbil. It is not a hamster. It is not a guinea pig. It is a death rabbit. Death. Rabbit. Say it with me, now.
