Staying on West 52nd for 4 days. What are the good/trendy/non-touristy places to eat lunch and dinner?

    W 52nd & what?

I used to live on 49th & 9th. Here are some places I liked:

Thai place on corner of 49th & 9th

    Fat Sal's on 50th b/t 9th & 10th (good local pizza/hero place- try the chicken parm hero)

Kentucky something on 49th & 8th (good southern food & brunch, outside kinda looks like an entrance to an old western bar, try the raspberry french toast if you have brunch there or the mac & cheese any other time)

Go Sushi around 52nd & 9th (they deliver all over that area, try the chicken teriyaki bento box w/ brown rice)

    Amish Market on 49th b/t 9th & 10th for snacks & groceries (great fruit & deli selection)

If you're looking for something a little more upscale there's a nice Italian place on 48th & 9th (great sorbet, orange comes in an orange, etc) and Restaurant Row is something like 47th/48th b/t 8th & 10th.

You'll do pretty well at many of the places along 9th avenue in that area.
