A speedpaint is a painting done in as little time as possible to get your point across. It's used a lot in movies and games to portray a scene or environment.
Today we will be stretching our art muscles and painting some environments!
Choose one of these subjects (or make up your own) and try to keep it under 1 or 2 hours:

I spent way too long on this (about 2 hours) and I'm still not happy with how it looks. I should have kept things looser and focused on the whole picture more.
I think I may keep working on this however, but I want to try and do a quicker, looser painting.
That is some amazing work guys! Where (and how) did you all learn your techniques? I'm still pretty new to the speedpainting thing.

I learned pretty well much everything I know from this forum, or from sources recommended by this forum.
Then again, i do kinda suck.....so I'm really not sure if that's such a glowing recommendation.

This is cool! I think the value in the foreground could be pushed darker, does that make sense?

Menace I really dig the one on the last page, the one with the watercolor'ish feel. I think it works well with the clean lines you have.
