360 Games on Demand with disk install

Just a quick question:

If I have a game installed on my 360 from the disk and I buy the Games On Demand version do I have to download it too?

I'd like an extra copy of a game for lan play (it would probably be cheaper to buy a copy of any on demand title)

Have not actually tried it, but I would be pretty skeptical. I would imagine the on-demand versions are formatted differently.

actually, the games on demand prices are almost universally higher than retail discs, even more so if you buy used.

That's what I was saying, poor choice of words on my part.

Yes, you would have to download the GoD version. The version you install off a disk is not the same.
