    I'm about 30 miles away from the epicenter.

    That was the most furious earthquake I've ever experienced, and I've been living in California most of my life. I guess distance really makes a big difference.

    I hope I'm never in my lab during a major earthquake because I'm sure my building would go up in flames with all the flammable solvents in it.

    There's been quakes all over recently. One in CA, one is WA, and one in AK. I know the one in WA was a baby quake, but still! Earth be moving!
