Yeah dude apparently if you call UPS they can verify who it was shipped to.
Also Smart it's apparently same hardware as a typical netbook, they're still optimizing shit. Adobe needs to get Flash running better, that's the main complaint I've heard.
Well from the reviews the trackpad is pretty garbage, but the keyboard is decent and the battery life is pretty solid.
Went through damn near every login and account I could think of after buying 1Password (hooray, they finally have a Windows version!) and set up randomized passwords on damn near everything.
Also got a couple emails claiming to be Blizzard warning me about it. One scam using another scam to scam. Scamwich.
I got an email too, and went over to Gawker and tried to login with all of my standard passwords. None of them worked so whatever I used there probably won't compromise me anywhere else.
So all I could possibly lose is an account I don't remember the password for and have never used. I think I'll be okay.
Oh, and a third email from a group who, deciding that Gawker was moving too slowly to alert their users, used the leaked list to email people themselves.

Not sure how I feel about that.
thenextweb has some articles about that. I linked their interview with the group behind it who literally did it for shits and giggles.

yeah, I think that's the article that popped up when I googled the URL in the email.
Well, I think I've reset/randomized pretty much all of my accounts. It's something I'd been meaning to do for a while (terrible habit of reusing the same one across multiple sites) so this sort of kicked me in the ass to do something about it.
1Password's Chrome extension is pretty badass, and the iOS apps are solid, too.
I know onboard is pretty much orders of magnitude worse than a card, but is there any general way to compare? For instance, say I have onboard nVidia GeForce 7025 w/256MB shared. What's the minimum I would need in a video card to be at least as good/observably better?
For instance, how would this compare to onboard? And this?
I know card is better, pound for pound, but since I've only ever used onboard, I don't really know how it compares.
You could get that second one if you plan on living in the 90's with the rest of your life.
Video cards are one of the most expensive things you'll purchase for a computer. You are gonna want to spend at least $200 on one. maybe $150 but I don't know of many cost effective cards.

I'm quite aware of that. I'm just curious where the line is between onboard and card. Is a card with 64MB better than 256MB onboard? If not, is a card with 128MB better?
I know there's more to consider than just the amount of memory on the card, but I don't know what kind of impact that card has in terms of the GPU. I'm well aware that all of those options are pretty terrible, relative to the best stuff out there. I'm curious how that rate compared to each other only.

Those PC cards should be no better and may even be worse than your current onboard. There are more current series PCI cards available. Like this one.
Now with that out of the way I'm going to tell you not to spend any money upgrading it. Look around the web/craigslist for free parts that would work in it and even whole computers.
A socket 478 cpu and compatible DDR1 should be found pretty easily.
The money no matter how little you want to put into it would be better served being saved for a new system.
A low end system minus stuff like monitors and KB+Mouse can be had for just a few hundred dollars. Even though it wouldn't be considered top of the line it would still run rings around your current setup.
I'll throw one together in a few just to demonstrate.

I'm actually off that. I'm working a few things. I appreciate the advice, but I'm actually shifting my question here. I'm just trying to learn more about how onboard compares to card, because, as I said before, I know card is almost always better, but I'm curious where the line is.
It's kind of like the CPU/memory discussion that was being had just prior. Up to a certain point, more memory is better, but it reaches a point where it's no longer explicitly better, just more, where as a better processor (in this case, the card's GPU), can be better as well, depending. I know there's a comparison point, I'm just curious where the line is. Is onboard video comparable to a card with half as much memory? A quarter? Roughly where does it "equal out" so to speak.

I got my account compromised in the Gawker thing as well.
Facebook had already logged a couple active sessions somewhere in Europe, and then after I changed the password I still keep getting tons of erroneous login attempts that make Facebook want me to verify who I am just about every other time I go to check it.
If my memory is correct the cards you linked are 3-4 years older than your current onboard solution.
If you're looking for comparisons then look at the wiki articles on the cards you are comparing. Also google them.
Like X card vs Y card. If they've been benchmarked against one another then you'll find it.
For just general comparisons. Look at which versions of OpenGL, DirectX and Shader Model are supported. The memory amount and type as well as the GPU itself.
Another thing is see if the onboard your are comparing to a dedicated solution is behind in generations. Like the FX 5200 you linked vs your 7025. Research differences in models should give you the info you need to know what is better.
Generally it's best to assume that the graphics solution with more ram, faster core, better support of DX and OpenGL will be better. Even more so if it has all of those pluses. It's not always the case, though.
Onboard GPUs are pretty much at the lowest end of the spectrum. They are really only comparable to the lowest end cards of that gen. Mid range and up is where it would be unfair to compare them. They would rarely if ever be able to compete.
Even then playing any games at enjoyable visual levels would not work well with most if not all onboard solutions. If you want to game then a dedicated card is the best way to go. That's not to say that onboard GPUs are all bad.
A newer one with HDMI backed by a decent cpu will enable you to use it as a media PC. And older games may have no problems. I do mean older, though.

I'm glad I don't have any accounts on their sites.
Probably just different hardware to handle the wireless connections.
Hmm, I didn't think of that, it makes sense though.
EDIT: Bleeding heck this thing is taking an hour per gig. Granted it's pretty unusual for me to pull down something that size (the Xcode developer package, which by the way isn't included on the reinstall drive with the Airs like it is on the reinstall CDs of other Macs), but still. I'm going to have a look around and see if this is common for the 11-inch Airs.
Never had a Mac but it's got to be software or configuration. Perhaps your router is configured in a way where it's giving preferential treatment to one computer over another instead of distributing bandwidth evenly.
Also, check to see if the faster laptop is uploading anything. If one computer is hogging all the upload bandwidth it can bog down everything.
It's not related to processor speed and I highly doubt it's related to wireless hardware either beyond configuration.

E: oh shit okay I hit the submit button on the Chrome laptop registration and it just took me back to the "what type of user are you page" is that bad?

You could plug a puppy into your motherboard and it would give better performance than that onboard chip.

I've been sitting in the union cafeteria for a while, just foruming while a friend of mine studies. A friend I would have liked to walk to their final with or something. But this guy is all "hey are you going to be around for 10 minutes? Would you mind keeping an eye on my laptop?" (13" macbook pro)... that was 25 minutes ago and my friend left 15 minutes ago.
I am going to shit on his laptop before he gets back
edit: He better be taking a really, really great dump or something.
edit edit: okay he just came back. I'm just going to go home and take a nap

Dangggg. I'm hoping I get one by the end of the week. I'm traveling a shitton over the next few weeks (home from school, then relatives, then back, then back to school) and it'd be so nice to be able to carry around.
