So my phone took an accidental bath with me in the fucking Atlantic ocean today. Now, when you try to power it up it just starts vibrating and won't stop.

This isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I'm up for my phone upgrade (Verizon Wireless), but the Droid Incredible doesn't ship out until early August.

What do you guys think, get a new shitty phone for now or wait to upgrade until August when Droid Incredibles are available?

Also, what fucking technology has fucked you over recently - due to your own stupidity or not?

    but as a phone it sucks

    I mean it's cool and all until you run like 5 different apps and then realize you need to download a 6th so you can turn off the first 5

    My Speaker's jack is completely fucked, so every now and then I have to twist the damn thing round in the headphone socket of my laptop until it works again.

    Shit sucks.

    phones with keyboards are not bad. I know a lot of people who are specifically not getting new phones because they want buttons.

    What's great is that the local Verizon store doesn't even have any damn Incredibles to 'test drive'. How fucking neat is that.

    Yep its frustrating as hell.

    And its getting worse, I can barely go five minutes without losing sound and fixing it is really hard now.

    edit: and now they don't work at all! Back to awfully tinny Laptop speakers I guess.

    I played around with the Incredible and it's very snappy and responsive and fun to use. It's got mostly the same guts as the NexusOne but is more aesthetically-pleasing with a nicer user-interface.

    We almost got it but then the Verizon store told us it was sold out and we later learned that it was actually recalled due to battery issues. We got mad at being lied to, VoC found out we could swap over to AT&T for cheaper than we were paying Verizon and we got iPhone4s.

    See, I'd also like to do this, but what is the deal with the no longer available unlimited data plan through AT&T?

    Plus, Natalie has AT&T right now and it's pretty terrible.

    That was the impression from what I read this week. I'd trade the little bit of speed advantage it may have for SenseUI in a heartbeat, though.

    Yeah that placed closed like two months ago. I literally lived around the corner from that place until I moved to Allston.

    There is one in the Arsenal Mall just in Watertown, too. I'll pick up some shitty phone in the mean time and wait for this Droid X bullshit to settle before re-using my credit, etc.
