Cell Phone Blues

So my cell phone screen is no longer working. I'm not sure if its related to something I did (keeping it in my pocket) or it just randomly failing. Anyways, onto my question:

How can I go about finding cheap phones online? To replace my current phone (Sony Ericsson Z525a) I'd have to pay over $100 at the Cingular store. Am I going to have to bite the bullet (assume I am just getting a new phone, and I can't warranty my old one) and pay more than $100 to get a decent phone?

If so, any recommendations for phones your absolutely in love with?

Get a cheap LG phone. For $30 you can have a tiny flip phone with a five-day battery life that can take a beating that would demolish anything from Sony, Nokia, or Motorolla. Sure you can't do much else with it besides playing Pac-Man and Tetris, but that will save you even MORE money in the long run.

How old is your phone? I know that when my phone stopped working recently, Cingular sent me a new one free of charge. I just had to send my old one back within 15 days.

This was under the warranty, mind you, not the "insurance" policy they sell you.

It's within warranty, but I'm not sure if I somehow damaged it, and they'll hit me with a 210$ fee for the new phone + handling if my old one is effed.

    Hit up ebay.

Old phones are a dime a dozen.
