Doom will not stand for the insolence of Gentleman Ghost.

    Doom wins.

I'd like to say Nimrod would win. It all depends on how many nukes get set off durring the fight. It might be a double KO.

    Doom and Taskmaster.

Taskmaster is like "Nimrod, there is a mutant inside that nuclear missile." and Nimrod goes to check it out and Taskmaster sets off the nuke.

    It is a flawless plan.

Learned from watching Bugs Bunny cartoons! God knows Nimrod, like all hunter/destroyers, is a crude imitation of Elmer Fudd.

Sorcery definitely trumps the incorporeal card, especially in a place rife with magical/mystical properties like Hell. Doom wins his fight easily.

As much as I like TM, and debated to get him by Bullseye, I don't see him going any further. Even if Nimrod can't survive a nuclear blast, neither can Taskmaster. He's pretty fucked any way you look at it. Nimrod probably advances here.

Nimrod is a robot. Taskmaster has the combined experience of the avengers and every fighter in marvel besides Deadpool, basically.

With the advantage of bursts of super-speed that Taskmaster has, I don't see Nimrod being able to out-maneuver taskmaster. Taskmaster, however, can presumably trap Nimrod in the nuke silo and set it off while he is safe and sound in a bunker.

what bunker? they're fighting in a lab. anywhere that would make taskmaster safe from a detonating nuke would ring him out.

also, doom versus a guy who can make you get cold and is an 'adequate' shot with antique pistols? sounds like doom's going down like a bitch

All I can think of is

    a) Nimrod freezes after seeing Taskmaster perform a super-human feat like double speed and scanning him to determine his superhuman abilities, and scanning, and scanning, and scanning. Taskmaster draws a great deal from martial artists who utilize things like chi and spiritual energy which a robot would be unable to understand or cope with.

    b) Nimrod doesn't hunt humans, so he just leaves.

    c) Taskmaster blows Nimrod up and runs off with his head.

    d) "Could God make a burrito so big that even he couldn't eat it?"

    e) Blow Nimrod up first, so the split second between his death and Task's is enough to constitute a win.

Is the energy projector limited to manifesting one piece of equipment at once? If TM can utilize a set of adamantium claws and the vibranium shield, he'll have no problems taking on Nimrod hand-to-hand and getting him where he wants him. Now that I've thought about it more, TM's prospects are a lot better, but I don't know too much about Nimrod yet.

Taskmaster doesn't have powers, so Nimrod keeps scanning for something that isn't there.

it seems like it would depend on how it was programmed. i mean, if it had to answer any question posed and there was no answer available, then it could lead to some kind of crash, but if the machine was sentient, it could just say fuck you and keep on killin'

basically i don't think it should work on ultron, even though it does

Nimrod probably has to listen everything a person says to him, if only for the small chance it may contain useful data. If he doesn't automatically search for an answer to every question he hears, then Taskmaster only needs to suggest that the answer may be useful for destroying all mutants.

Change it to, "Can a mutant who can make burritos too big to eat and eat a burrito of any size make a burrito so big even he cannot eat it?"

    "ASSESSING QUESTION.

QUESTION IRRELEVANT TO PRIME DIRECTIVE OF KILL ALL MUTANTS.

Irrelevant, since Taskmaster's not a mutant and Nimrod was designed to attack mutants.

This confuses me, considering he got by Mysterio.

So stupid that a robot couldn't possibly account for a situation like this!

How would he determine the irrelevance of the question, though, without determining the worth of the answer as well as the question itself?

Doom or GG? Either way I'll be sad to see either of them leave the show. I want Taskmaster to win since Nimrod is really rather dull (and pink). Those of us with our ear to the door of the "Lunatic Fringe" might suggest that Las Alamos houses more than simple nukes. Much more, say, the majority of the USA's high tech R&D!

And this is comic book land so nano bots, gentic enhancment, missle defense thingies, robots of every shape and size and a zillion other Sci-Fi nerd erection makers should be avaliable to Tasky.

here's the thing i think people keep forgetting about taskmaster

he talks about it in his own mini

just because he can shoot a three pointer, it doesn't mean he's a basketball star

just because he can dive like an olympic gold medalist doesn't mean he can swim

he's in excellent shape, and he can move like pretty much anyone, but he does not necessarily have the training and combat skills of captain america or wolverine. he takes their moves, not their knowledge of how to use them best.

    How did Nimrod beat Juggernaut?

And Taskmaster doesn't have their training, but that doesn't mean his own experiences and training are somehow meaningless. He's the world's foremost mercenary for a reason.

Nimrod refocuses his attentions on the Juggernaut by knocking his protective helmet away, leaving only the psychic shielding of his skullcap. The calculating Sentinel stuns the Juggernaut with a tight-beam, ultra-high frequency sonic blast. The pain is said to render Juggernaut unable to think, much less act.

I'm not saying Taskmaster should definitely win, but what if he tricked Nimrod into getting trapped inside a missle, then shot him out of bounds? This requires disabling Nimrods teleportation somehow, but still. . .

also, t robosagogo: I don't remember how Nimrod beat Juggernaut exactly, but Nimrod sure did easily kick his ass. It was a fully-powered Juggernaut too, which I suppose is relevent to this debate. Also, Juggernaut isn't a mutant either, so I guess Nimord occassionally fights non-mutants, like if they're dicks or whatever. To temper Nimrod's victory over Juggs though, I think immediately afterwards Nimrod got beat by a young Rogue who absorbed at least Collossus's and Nightcrawler's powers, and maybe some of the other X-men too.

Edit: Nice work Servo. Also, Juggernaut sure is an emo bitch.

Plunging his fists into the molten heart of Shou-Lao the Undying gave Rand the power of the Iron Fist, allowing him to focus his chi and enhance his natural abilities to extraordinary levels. His strength, speed, reflexes and senses can all be intensified, making his already formidable martial arts skills even more so

The strength of his chi was enhanced, granted, but that doesn't change the fact that he's utilizing a natural source of energy present in all humans to perform extraordinary feats.

    About Doom vs. GG:

GG was able to summon ghost in the past, right? Just exactly where, did these spirits come from? If they were just chilling in GG's mansion or whatever, it isn't relevant to this fight, but if GG called those dudes from hell, he could literally have "spiritual support" in this fight.

More importantly, isn't Doom's Mother in hell? If ghost could get to her before Doom, he could use her as a hostage/barganing chip.

As for TM vs. Nimrod, TM has a fairly sensable way of winning:

Step one: Run the hell away from Nimrod.

Step two: Find nuclear warhear/missle/some other thing that makes a cataclysmic explosion.

Step three: lure Nimrod to location of aforementioned explosive, and stand in front of it.

Step four: argue to Nimrod that the risk to human life derived from fighting at the site in question is too great to continue fighting. TM will have to talk pretty fast here to convince Nimrod of this, but it's been done before:
In X-Force #35, a modern-day version of Nimrod appeared. This Nimrod was created by anti-mutant survivalist groups, and was based on the technology derived from the Nimrod from the future. It deactivated itself when Cable convinced it that its existence could cause a paradox and damage the timestream.

Point is, he CAN be reasoned with.

I'm probably still going to vote for Nimrod, simply because this scenario is really, really implausible, but hey, I figured I'd throw it out.
