Phil's Pencil Pinups (NSFW)

Hello,
This is my first post here on Penny Arcade, it seems like a great place to hang around, and I have already
seen some wonderful art on here from other members.
I plan to add to this thread whenever I have a new drawing completed.

My favourite subject matter is the female form, so it will mostly be pinups that you will see from me,
although I may occasionally throw in a monster or 2 along the way......

I always use Faber Castell Polychromos pencils the Cold Grey range I-VI and Black on Bristol board or Stonehenge paper.
Here's my first pinup babe post - I've named her "Erika".

Many thanks for looking

Awesome stuff. The left hand and wrist seems awkward to me, but I can't tell if this is just a weird pose or an error in your anatomy.

Thanks, it is the pose I wanted rather than an error. (is it really weird though) ?

    this is terrifying

her breasts aren't connected to her chest

her face and hair aren't connected to her head

her right arm isn't connected to her torso

did you use a photo reference for this?

it looks like you have all the parts there that should make a pin up girl, but they're not actually attached in any meaningful way

Well, the rendering is certainly there, but not much else.

Her hands, hair, and bewbs especially look really awkward. It's pretty obvious that you didn't reference the hair...there are a lot of "this is hair" tricks you've added in (a few loose strands at the part, random flyaways that have nothing to do with the rest of the hair and how it is styled, the no-hair-is-overlapping, parallel-lines within the hair, etc). But yeah, as has been mentioned above, there's a little more than just the hair that's disconcerting.

I agree with what is being said.
The face is rendered beautifully though.
