Friend has set up a Child's Play Charity drive with an interesting theme

Hi since I am not sure where to post this being new and all I figure here is as good a place as any. A friend of mine has setup a Child's Play charity drive in which he is set to destroy his Golden Wrench he got as a valve promotion from Team Fortress 2.

The details are here *though you'd have to go back a bit to find out the back story on why he wants to get rid of it and why he arrived at the decision to make a charity based off it*:

Destroy the Golden Wrench

The only reason I am mentioning this is because I know Gabe and Tycho donate to this same charity so I figure why not the more people aware the more possibility some kids somewhere get something nice.

So yeah first post, will probably lurk around, maybe post in a few spots.

    it's... interesting, but I don't know how much it will really draw in money

    Interesting, I did not know that, well who says you don't learn something new everyday.

    and yes Forbar he is destroying the thing, that's what the charity is for.

    I hear they also sometimes contribute material to popular Internet humor site, "Penny Arcade."

    That might just be a rumor though.
