Got this a few minutes ago. Did a search and didn't see a Madden thread up (did I miss it somehow?)
Just a reminder that the Madden NFL 11 demo is now available on Xbox LIVE, and will be available on PSN later today. Featuring full 5 minute quarters, Indianapolis Colts vs. New York Jets (as voted by the fans), full GameFlow integration, the ability to create offensive and defensive game plans, and more - this is the most robust Madden NFL demo we've ever released. Madden NFL 11 ships on August 10th, 2010.
Details on the demo:
* Availability: Xbox LIVE and PSN (today - July 27th)
* Teams: Colts vs. Jets (as voted by fans)
* Stadium: Jets Stadium, East Rutherford NJ - 1:00pm, clear
I haven't played the EA football games in a few years, but after trying NCAA on a whim and loving it I'm looking forward to seeing what the Madden team did this year. The last time I played an EA football game regularly was marathon sessions of Madden 07 with my dad, so the improvements since then are pretty impressive to me.

I have but one question regarding Madden 11 (not really related to the demo); can I finally make a custom playbook in franchise? I haven't bought a Madden since they decided to remove that feature.
I know it seems like a small thing, but franchise is all I play in sports games.
I am pumped for this. There must be madden fans on this board.
Also I'd really love to stress the awesome that is ultimate team. Imagine combining your typical card collecting CCG, and mixing it with football. Sounds gross right? It's not!
So essentially you buy booster packs that contain players, "contract extentions", Coaches (which boost stats), Stadiums (Which can boost stats), and Uniforms. Cards are assigned a value based on importants, for example Tom Brady is platinum level card whereas the current incarnation of Michael Vick is only a silver.
It's so awesome. And free. Sure you can go the microtransaction route, but you also earn coins from games.
