Planescape Torment Patch

I have tried to intall this patch. It has given me a little brown box icon which, when I click it says 'corrupt cabinet file'.

So. How do I install this patch/ what programs do I need for it (winzip? y/n)

So I am going to start from scratch. When going to the website and I click download, do I press 'open' or 'save'?

What next?

What other patches could/should I install - any that would make it really obvious that the patches are working?

    Save the file, Save to your desktop, wait for it to download and then double click the icon it created.

    If you are running the 2-CD version of Torment, it already comes with the official patch preinstalled, I think it will say v1.1 if you hit escape once in the game. Otherwise, I'm not sure?

    There are also several unofficial mods and patches that can bump the resolution and fix other things:
