What mnemonics have you learned over the years? I only have a few.

Kings play chess on funny green spaces
kingdom phylum class order family genus species

Please excuse my dear Aunt Sally
parentheses exponents multiplication division addition subtraction

Roy G. Biv
red orange yellow green blue indigo violet

My very excellent mother just served us nine pizzas
Mercury Venus Earth Mars Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune Pluto

Soh Cah Toa
sine=opposite/hypotenuse cosine=adjacent/hypotenuse tangent=opposite/adjacent

I used to know one for the days of the week in Japanese, but I don't think I have it right any more. I think it's:
nich gets kai sui mok kin do

I have plenty of music mnemonics.

Can't Stop by Red Hot Chili Peppers for a minor seventh.

The NBC tune for a major sixth.

And the Batman:TAS theme for minor sixths.

e: Kosh's are the notes of the treble staff. The first is notes on lines, and FACE is notes in spaces. Both bottom to top.

You can thank Neil deGrasse Tyson for "Pizzas"

    before him, it was "Prunes"

My high school chemistry teacher taught me this one.

Ma eats pot brownies, Pa has hash only, no dope.
    Methane
    Ethane
    Propane
    Butane
    Pentane
    Hexane
    Heptane
    Octane
    Nonane
    Decane

So I taught him one in return for the order of the electron orbitals:

in 7th grade my science teacher said,

"now, I'm gonna teach you kids two mnemonics

when your parents ask you what you learned today, you'll say, 'Oh, I learned 'King Philip came over for good spaghetti,'' and you can explain it to them, and they'll know that your fine education is not being wasted

when you actually have to remember, though, you kids say to yourselves, 'King Philip came over for good sex,' because I know you kids will remember anything that involves sex, and don't try to tell me otherwise"

We always learned it as "King Philip came over for great sex" but the teachers tried to change it to "great starburst."

    It didn't take.
