SDCC: Great meeting you Mike. Sorry I lit Jerry on fire.

I was able to hang out at the Penny Arcade table for a bit and chat with Mike before the floor opened to attendees at this past SD Comic Con. I stopped by hoping that my friend Kiko (former co-worker who left our old job to go do fun stuff with PA) would be there. Kiko did not attend the con  so I was forced to talk with Mike. I have met Mike several times over the years but for some reason I never get to meet Jerry. In fact even after I hung out after the floor opened and had a great chat with Mike, Jerry was still a no show. We were Jerry-less, Jerryfree, Sansjerry. There was even a guy in line named Ben, but no Jerry. So I left my book to get signed and returned to my table in Artist Alley (in Exhibit Hall G about 5 miles away from the PA booth).
I mention this for no other reason than to set the tone. For some reason over in Artist Alley, I set Jerry's hair on fire. Not literally. Just drew a quick comic strip featuring Gabe (Jerry's avatar I guess you could say) getting his hair set on fire by accident. I have no malice toward Jerry and I don't know if he covers himself in flammable gel each day. If he had shown up on time, I could have asked him and the strip would most likely have gone a different direction. But since I did not get to see him, I can only make assumptions about him and his hygiene habbits.
Mike if you see this, it was great seeing you again and actually getting to talk to you for a bit and yes, I am definitely interested in PAX. Jerry, maybe next time. Kiko, sorry to miss you again but Mike gave me a hug so I don't have any abandonment issues at this time. Catch you guys later.

Without further delay, my comic setting Gabe on fire: http://kindergoth.com/?p=355

Gabe is Mikes avatar, also they don't read the forums. Khoo does sometimes, but it's pretty rare.

Maybe I was talking to Jerry. Doesn't help they dont use their real names. Who's the follicularly challenged one?

Mike = guy with hair = guy who draws = Gabe (which you drew)
Jerry = bald guy = writer = Tycho

I wonder if this thread needs to be moderated or not.

Prox; metamodding, you shouldn't has it.

Kohse, thanks for stopping by. Mike and Jerry (and Gabe and Tycho) don't really read the forums--least of all the Art Corner, but feel free share your work or post anything you need critiques on. That's what we do around here. It's sort of our thing.

Opps, I did get them mixed up then. Definately need to make a mental note to stop doing that.

I was actually just hoping to say hi to Kiko. If you guys want to critique stuff, I'm new to the whole webcomic thing. Feel free to rip into mine. I actually started it because Kiko had mentioned that it would make a great webcomic (albeit years ago before he left for PA).

I love feedback. Helps me know what directions to take with potential stories. I'm still playing with the character styles since cartoony is not how I draw in my day job. http://kindergoth.com/

    Thanks for the help.
