That's not the final art right? Those colours only look like flats.
Thats the way most of Yu's art looks. i assume he either has a preference for it or requests the same colourist to do that type of colouring. Even his Secret Invasion and New Avengers looked like this.
Alright, TLB. You have passed my Test of Emotions. You have proven yourself to not be a red. Well done. Now let's light these fireworks and pose before a fluttering US flag.
TLB, be sure to check out the Secret Six/Birds of Prey crossover, where Ragdoll once more makes it clear that there's only room for one crazy person in the Secret Six. It's a good bit of fun, and explains some stuff between Huntress and Catman that happens in the first arc of Secret Six.
Secret Warriors was good this week. It's been going off the track a little lately, as we havn't actually seen much of the secret warriors themselves, it's all been about The Howling Commandos. Still, good superspy fun, even if Nick Fury as still the biggest dick that ever walked the planet.
I don't remember Knockout being involved in any if that.
She was killed as a result of the mandate that all the New Gods be killed. It was a weird and convoluted thing, which I mostly blame on Countdown's terrible handling of all the Death of the New Gods stuff, but falls equally on Final Crisis, as that story required all the New Gods be taken out of play to begin with.
Man, remember how there were like, three separate incidents of people being shot by mystery bullets from the clouds back then, and none of them had anything to do with the other? That was a weird time.

For whatever reason, I didn't see the connection until you explained it.
So yesterday I finally picked up last week's comics. Uh. I read like three different daredevil things which all blurred together and I feel like Marvel is going to have a bullshitty ending to shadowlands. I am a pessimist about marvel and the ends of events, what can I say? So no MOTW award there.
Cap trying to gin up some PR for Cyclops was pretty cute, but not really MOTW material.
Hmm. I grabbed Ellis/Hamner's Red because I hunger for crime/espionage comics like Galactus hungers for planets and I'm sucker for straight forward action movie stories, so I think it wins this week.
We were on vacation last week. My awesome got my comix on her way home from work today. Scott Pilgrim 6, Marvel Universe vs Punisher #1, Fear Agent #28, and Magnus Robot Fighter #1.
Scott Pilgrim 6 was amazing. I'll have to re-read the books to "rank" them or whatever people feel the need to do, but I feel like it was a very good book and an excellent ending of the story.
MU vs Punisher 1 was some crazy shit! The thing with Deadpool was great. And the source of the outbreak, holy shit.
Red Mafia goons had vials in their pockets. Frank shot the shit out of them with high-velocity armor-piercing rounds. Frank killed humanity. By accident.
That's heavy stuff, regardless of it being a Punisher book. The writing was pretty good, and not too purple (melodramatic). I'm a big fan of Parlov now. I may hunt down some of the stories he illustrated.

Sounds like something a commie trying to throw off suspicion might say.
TLB, do you love Red Hulk? This may be a test.
(Better dead than red.)
He's a plant!
it starts off pretty mediocre but once Marcus To comes on for art duties it's a lot of fun

Everyone who never read High Roads is the worst artist.
and I like his art for the most part. except for the chins and eyes
it made me angry and sad but it was still awesome

Guess that's why it was canceled.
It was cancelled because most of the American viewing public are morons.
Too right.

A. Exactly who they are parodying
B. Broken
I am a big fan of the Secret Six.
Hatter was amazing in the Six Degrees arc.
Also, I found out I have a thing for seven foot tall redheads.
because I just started the first trade of Secret Six proper and she ain't around
And Final Crisis.

Just sayin'.

Dave Lapham's Maltese Falcon parody
Rick Remender's really surreal fat camp one, which has an ending that is my top MotW
Van Lente's Blackest Night take, with Denys Cowan on art.
Plus it was so damn thick that it had nearly a trade's worth of content.
