anyway, i just realized you can press alt + S and submit a post, which is way faster than clicking the stupid button, and also it's the same shortcut to send mail in outlook.

what neat things do you know re: the forums?

o, also, the little thing here: firstnew.gif goes to the most recent unread post. (and this one works for this thread! (I think)

    Double click to edit a thread title

    quick reply does an ajaxy reload of the page, so you'll see new posts without breaking youtube playback, and can load replies beyond the page limit

    mouseover the blue dot on a thread tells you how many posts you have in it, and when you last posted

    clicking the number of replies pops a window with a list of the people who've posted in that thread, sorted by number of posts

    you can make your sig have alt text with the [sigpic] tag

    you can stop the forum from parsing your post with [noparse][noparse][/noparse][/noparse] tags

    for example, [noparse]DoD:S[/noparse] which would ordinarily be DoD:S

    this stops it from turning into an emoticon if you are quoted

    You used to be able to hide secret messages with the Title field of posts but I think Ramius took out the display in the thread preview.

    oh, most people know this one, but for those who don't

    clicking on the number of replies for a thread on the board's main page gives you a list of how many replies each poster has in it

    clicking on the number of replies a poster has in the thread searches the thread for posts by that poster

    (Name)>(View public profile)
