Solider with the Revenant, Andrenaline Rush and maxed out Explosive Inferno Ammo will just annihilate anything before him in a cone of exploding white-hot hypervelocity projectiles. And it is fun as hell.

Being Space Rambo is so fun.

I just preferred being the point of the spear and using my other team members to support me. Put in Garrus to snipe and take care of robots, and then anyone with biotics to clean shit up or get me out of a jam.

the one problem I have with ME2 is they unRPG'd it to hell

I like having inventory and dice rolls! there's lots of other games where people can shoot each other, leave my nerd shit alone!

combined with the rumored multiplayer for ME3 I am sad that it will continue in the vein of a shooter

but I'll still play the hell out of it

I'll always have The Old Republic for my Bioware RPG needs

Soldier is awesome in both games. U mad.

In ME1, with top armor and addons you can just run and gun through everything like a tank on steroids.

In ME2, the slow down effect with damage is killer and you get the awesome assault rifle that makes you Space Rambo.

in ME1 you can do that with every class, while also tossing people across the room willy nilly

Not in heavy armor and never even trying to use cover. Nothing could kill me. I was a god.

Also as a soldier you can still use powers you just take Miranda (and why wouldn't you anyway) and Thane or Samara or some shit and you can use theirs to do cool stuff with. But there's no fun to be had in someone else shooting people.

It's still just a rumor. At first I get upset at the idea and then I realize that it probably wouldn't affect me much.

I really want a class based shooter out of mass effect. The classes are already there, add in cosmetic race options and bam we got a retail game here by current standards.

You haven't experienced enough well-timed orders for concentrated fire

Drop an armor shattering fireball on a group of droids, followed by Jack's shockwave, and then Grunt comes charging in out of cover as you flank and fire

I think people who love single player ME and don't play multi-player (like me) are concerned that the multiplayer will detract from the single player due to time spent working on it. Which is a reasonable assessment I suppose. But I think that bioware will always strive to make any game they release a great single player game, they are masters of it afterall.

It has been mentioned that Bioware partitions their DLC and main game teams

I imagine they'd do the same for multiplayer

edit: Miranda is a hard teammate not to bring on every mission, no matter what class you are

I'm just saying, there's a reason I played Alpha Protocol more than Mass Effect 2 even though ME2 is by just about every standard a superior game.

I like numbers and inventory and perks and talent points
