Beta testers are asked to test how Rock interacts with Scissors, Paper will be included in a later beta patch.
I am now doing an experiment. I want to take the trees for each of the classes and put all of the points in them to perform their PvE role at maximum potential and then see which points are available to 'play around' with (for PvP and utility)
For retribution paladins:
http://www.wowtal.com/#k=7GJpo2M1.9uf.paladin 1 point of leeway (e4e provides damage against bosses who use AoE attacks [almost all of them], repentence is a form of CC [when CC seems to become a new requirement for PvE content] and rebuke is an interrupt [constantly shown to be required for dps in pve])
For protection warriors:
http://www.wowtal.com/#k=IfWRWPZ.9uf.warrior 5 points of leeway
OLD INFORMATION BELOW, LOOK AT YOUR OWN PERIL!!
For retribution paladins:
http://www.wowtal.com/#k=7BMXBSR1.9sm.paladin 2 Points of leeway.
For Protection warriors:
http://www.wowtal.com/#k=IfWOJbi.9sm.warrior 5 points of leeway (as well as various options to choose while going up the original tree)
For Arms Warriors:
http://www.wowtal.com/#k=DVuzjElr.9sm.warrior 5 points of leeway (minor options in tier 2 to choose while going up the original tree)
For Sub Rogues:
http://www.wowtal.com/#k=axVAtE6c0.9sm.rogue Zero points of leeway.
For Blood DKs:
http://www.wowtal.com/#k=au5Wd7J.9sm.deathknight 8 points of leeway.
I made two exceptions to the utility thing: Ret paladins getting a spell interrupt (which is very much required) and Blood DKs finishing their raid buff. Anything else, like the Arms Warrior stun, which was utility was not considered.
If anyone has more data to add to this, I'd love to hear.
Adding others:
@ Munkus
For Mages:
Arcane:
http://www.wowtal.com/#k=lf0Yj-s.9sm.mage 7 Remaining points + 3 since there isn't any real dps increase to get the last legs up to 31.
Fire:
http://www.wowtal.com/#k=Zwl9mzwo.9sm.mage 1 Point leeway, but you have to consider there's a point where you have a bunch of utility talents to choose from and that's it (At the 13th point).
Frost:
http://www.wowtal.com/#k=lqbTdKzq.9sm.mage 4 Point leeway.
E: Assassination Rogue:
http://www.wowtal.com/#k=vz_DLa5_K.9sm.rogue 0 Points.
Combat Rogue:
http://www.wowtal.com/#k=tbWtKqs4l.9sm.rogue 1 Point.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE
I remember that thread. Made me wanna go home and level my paladin :winky:
and Fuck Paper! Paper was the dominant class for most of vanilla, half of BC, and again in LK! It's Rock's turn goddamnit.

Gone are the days when random silly geese would spam duel invites with me, so so awesome!
The best part is that its almost instant, so the fool who is 10 levels above me sits there wondering "wut...wait did I hit the duel button or not?? I'd better press it again just to be sure"
I get a lot of enjoyment from this
Honestly I was expecting it to be more the extra speed isn't that huge, but its nice, and makes an easy gold sink.
I am a freaking nerd.
Nothing pisses me off more when tanking than a lecture for someone as to when to use AotD.
Conversely, nothing pisses me off more than seeing a DK use AoTD in a daily random. Save it for the raids or a wipe-saver, chuck. :x
I think it has been implemented to be free for people who already have a 310% mount, so if you have one its not even an expense.
No, otherwise they would have done that with Epic Flight when you get Cold Flying.
It's going to be a money sink either way. Blizzard just hasn't figured out that the money sinks don't really do anything, as money is so easy to come by.
I reserve it for dragons.
This reminds me of a comic I saw where some guy says "Hey I'm a retard hurr durr," then the other guy says "Wow what a dumbass." Then the original guy is like "Haha joke's on you, I was only pretending."
The moral of the story is, if you act like a dumbass, it's not unreasonable for people to assume that is in fact what you are. They're just trying to help you, and the only assumption they can make is that you're dumb if you do dumb things.
Was like...wtf....
Probably a cold cut.
Emporium had the correct answer to the wrong question.
If you already have 310% speed mount, you don't have to pay for 310% skill.
5k gold may be trivial to people in guilds that have ICC on farm status, but for the rest of us, not so much.
There is a group of 13-15 dailies I do that nets around 200+ gold for about 30 mins work - plus loot drops works out to be ~300 gold a day. The icecrown and argent dailies are very compact and profitable.
I am a freaking nerd.
You're trying to get me killed, so of course I'll yell at you.
Jewelcrafting is mostly where I've made my money. ;-p
A good profession can go a long ways if your server's economy isn't out of whack. Professions tend to take some investment though, especially crafting professions.
Edit: Particularly while leveling up does it cost you... my level 40 mage is up to 1k gold because I didn't get a crafting profession. Being able to sell leather and mining directly is a big boost short term.
So, I just had a DK tank attempting to tank Ramparts. I kept pulling aggro so I suggested he use more of his abilities. The priest calls me a scrub, and to stop being an ass. Needless to say, I tanked the rest of the instance.
JCing is the real big money maker. Although it takes some time to get a lot of the good cuts it really pays off. I can sell a reckless ametrine for up to 200g on a good day and they only cost 10 badges. Cardinal Rubies, of any variety, usually sell for 150g. Stamina gems don't generally go for much on my server, but they do sell. I've noticed that green gems also don't really sell on my server, but purple sell really well.
With enchanting I just make some simple scrolls. Like titanweeve, stamina to boots, ap/sp to wrists, and basic weapon enchants.
Most of the other crafting professions(tailoring, BSing, LWing) can make some really good cash if you have the highest tier crafting recipes. Otherwise make leg enchants and belt buckles.
I don't really use my inscription to make money, mostly just my own glyphs. But I have had some success selling vellums and fort scrolls.
This right here. Don't spend it and sell what you find. You'll be swimming in gold in no time.
Do AT dailies and take the sack.
Tailoring is a bit of a pain in the ass. Go through massive amounts of cloth and quite a few enchanting mats.
