I think I posted stuff here earlier. It wasn't very polished. I've been working on it since then and was hoping to get some feedback. For those of you that aren't familiar with it, this is based on Monster Hunter Tri. What do you all (or, ya'll, if you prefer) think?

I have some other work on my blog, but...yeah. That whole...not polished thing. You don't have to look at those if you don't want.

Maybe it's too much of an internal joke, but I don't get it. Also, why is it only one panel but has so much text?

If the guy on the left is going to talk first, he should really be positioned on the left. I understand there is no hard and fast rule for this sort of thing, but considering the rest of your staging/blocking in the panel, I think it's an easy swap.

It may be a bit inside. The idea is that the armorsmith guy in Monster Hunter Tri has made a suit of armor that is identical to Link's usual armor. For the joke to make sense, you kind of have to be aware that the one guy makes armor and such. Alas, it probably doesn't land well without knowing this.

And I agree on the side-swapping. A few people pointed that out to me. It's probably best to be as clear as possible when knowing who's talking, in what order and how the panels go. As far as that goes, I was also advised to add in quote bubbles. That seems good, too.

To be completely honest, I think the joke just falls flat because it's weak.

Possibly - win some, lose some. But that's fine. You don't ask for criticism and then get mad when you get it. :P
