Oh boo, I have fallen victim to credit card fraud and have had to cancel my card, which is to be reissued
I am a little uncertain though - as one transaction was approved and one was declined. The Fraud Team at my bank said that I would have to call them in a couple of days when the approved fraudulent transaction attempts to be cleared. Does that sound right?
Doesn't sound entirely unreasonable to me. Not sure if/how things are different in Englandland, though, so it could be entirely unreasonable on your side of the world.
Thanks for the response. I guess it just sounded a little odd to me. This is the first online fraud issue I've been a party to, so it is all rather new
My thinking is they can't really do anything until it attempts to clear.

The sound on Season 1 of Dr. Who is -terrible-. When it was encoded or whatever for netflix the music track became way louder than the dialogue track and there are times when you simply can't understand the actors.

And thanks, Will. I suppose worst case scenario I meet some cool people from D&D.
Will are you present and accounted for in dis here chat? I have a question of the utmost importance.
i am here!
Thank god. Where do I get half-way decent coffee in DC? The stuff I got at Cosi this morning was like bilge water!
Is there a decent franchise-y place to look for, or has blue bottle spoiled me forever?
when i was there, the Xando wasn't terrible, but i think it got bought out by Cosi
really, the east coast does not have awesome coffee in general. startbucks is about the best you're going to find in most places unless there's a Peet's around. Little indie coffeehouses are hit or miss but you probably won't find any in the area you're staying in.

Fair enough. There's a few Caribou Coffees as well.
I guess I don't have high standards for coffee... I mean... I own a French Press, but I can tolerate commercial coffee.

Yeah starbucks is pretty weak. I mean I'll drink it if there's nothing else around. But do you guys have like fancy, yuppie-ish coffee places on this side of the country?
*Chanus, I walked by caribou this morning - I'll check it out. I was already drinking my cosi junk in a disgruntled manner though.

I also had Think coffee yesterday. I always thought it was just a decent coffee chain, but main did I get one of the best macchiatos (i guess it would be macchiati) I've ever had. The crema was super lush and nutty and citrusy. Really good stuff.
I'm a simple small-town internet shut-in. Every day I put on a polo and a pair of jeans, go to work, and day dream about video games and sex. Then I go home and play video games.
Suddenly BAM! three days of flying, wandering around a crowd of 60,000 geeks (That's TWO Juneaus!), looking halfway decent to eat and drink, playing D&D, going to a fucking Protomen concert!
I might die!

not much
there are a few little indie coffeehouses around here that roast their own beans and shit, but for the most part New Englanders like Dunkin coffee and New Yorkers like that shit that street vendors sell in the little blue cups and DC settles for Starbucks

Hm, OK, thanks. There's an Illy by me, but it was super crowded and I didn't have time to wait. But I think it might be worth it.
In the last 2 years, a bunch of crazy pricey but drop dead delicious coffee places have opened up in SF - Blue Bottle, Ritual, and 3 Barrels to name just a couple. It's kind of silly at this point, but it's also totally spoiled me!

I need a make/model and rough year if possible. I've pored over images of Ford Escorts and that is not what this car is. It is also not a Civic or a 1998 Mitsubishi Mirage.
It's definitely a 4-door sedan, black, with a small dark grill, logo in the center, and no partition on the rear door windows. Rear lights are in stripe formation, yellow on top, wrap around the to the sides of the car. You guys really helped last time, any more help would be great.

What? Man, don't be silly. It's gonna be a blast.
PDT? We were close by and he was pretty interested in it.
I mean, it's one of my favorite bars, although I prefer Little Branch and Death & Co.
What's "halfway decent"? There's a Starbucks within pissing distance of everywhere in DC.

Are you one of those Swedes who escaped from Bizzaro Sweden and who hates coffee?

To be honest, I also enjoy dispenser coffee from those machines you pay with coins.
