[MACHETE] They just fucked with the wrong Mexican.
What started out as a little fake movie trailer in Grindhouse has become its own full-fledged feature. Danny Trejo told Rodriguez to get it made after a fan approached him with a Machete tattoo, asked him to sign it with a marker, and then told him he was going to get his signature permanently tattooed into his flesh. How balls to the wall is that.
We have a drive-in movie theater and we'll be seeing a double feature of this and something else on Friday. Who else is going?
Or not. That trailer is even more over the top then the others. Nevermind the not-so-subtle riffing on how fucked up Arizona is.
But they soon realized...
They just fucked with the wrong Mexican!
Edit: This may be the first movie ever where Seagal actually dies in a one on one fight. That alone is enough to make me want to see it. That's film-making history right there.

This is probably going to be the greatest movie ever. Danny Trejo is awesome and this is going to be one of those movies where the awesome can just cut loose.
The whole "minigun mounted on the front of a motorcycle" really says all this movie will ever need to say.

I'm pretty sure either Rodriguez or Trejo has already said that it is the same Machete. Prequel or sequel, I love the idea this is what their uncle does when he's not helping them save the world.
I'm a little worried about the heavy-handed approach the film supposedly takes on the issue of immigration. I'm fine with a tongue in cheek joke or a subtle reference here or there, but I don't want any lengthy, earnest speeches on the subject that clash with the film's overall tone.

It doesn't actually at all, from what I've heard, that was a joke trailer cut in response to the controversy, I remember Rodriguez also said he cut a trailer of the film as a family friendly comedy.

The red-band trailer is what sold me on it. Any film that has a guy use a small intestine as a rope/bungie cord has to be awesome.

I couldn't believe it when I heard the little trailer from Grindhouse was actually real. Is this the first time Danny Trejo plays a lead?
I'm getting serious Escape from NY/LA vibes from this.
Other actors play tough guys, Danny Trejo is a though guy.
Does he not believe in the Internet
Show him this then.

Huh. Steven Seagal? I had no idea he was in this.

ROCK AND LOAD BRING ON THE PAAAAAIIIIN
Oh hell yes.
Motherfucker robbed places at gunpoint
Please be a victim please be a victim pleeeease be a victim
Might see it this weekend.
He was in the original Grindhouse trailer, after all.
And there is something wrong about Don Johnson playing Sheriff Not-Joe.
Edit: Fixed the name of Johnson's character to what we're all going to be calling him.
You have to admit, he's made the most of the second chance he was given.
Absolutely. His first chance was totally badass and Danny Trejo would still be a cool motherfucker if all he did was rob people
There's a documentary about him on Netflix.
The whole "minigun mounted on the front of a motorcycle" really says all this movie will ever need to say.
The first thing I thought of when I saw him in the trailer was Henry Fonda in Once Upon A Time In The West.
Sometimes the dude who always plays the nice guy makes for an incredible villain.
cheech is awesome.
trejo is awesome.
there for machete must be awesome
I was finally gonna go see the Expendables this weekend, but I just remembered this also comes out Friday.
Damn it, why do I have to choose!
Part of me liked the grindhouse trailer's style more though. It just had that extra bit of hilariousness to it.
It sounds like a lot of these stars are doing this movie just to have a lot of fun.
BTW, about Lohan: I believe she plays a gunslinging nun. Seriously.

This movie looks fucking ridiculous, even more ridiculous than the Expendables.
About time.
I hope this has some badass Grindhouse trailers as well.
It really looks like his Machete has the physical properties of a light saber, without the cauterizing, which I'm totally fine with.
Just don't let them bite
Let it be a sequel.
