This is as good a place as any to ask...
My buddy got a play and charge kit way back when and now the battery seems to not keep the charge. He pretty much left it plugged in all the time and now it won't work unless the cable is connected.
So how did that happen and I take it he needs to buy a new battery?
Hey wow, now we can all experience looking at an xbox 360 controller if we had near complete color blindness!
Hahahahaha
Welcome to my world, suckaaaaaas!

This controller is very good looking IMO but I'm not willing to pay $65 for that.

In my experience, quite a number of people who aren't familiar with video games start learning the controls via colors. "Oh, so the red button does this, and the green button does that?" Shades of gray aren't as useful for that.
Exactly. Most of my friends are pretty casual gamers, so when they come over to play Tekken or Bomberman or whatever, they learn what buttons do what by color. If all the buttons are gray that just makes it more annoying. It also makes the controller look pretty plain.

You know what really kills me though?
Wasn't MS requiring every controller to use the colors for their buttons? Like on the Street Fighter sticks.
The PS3 ones one solid color (very arcade like) and the 360 ones (that I have..) is all clown colored.
Has anyone heard if there are plans to replace the packaged controller with one of these? They seem to be hitting the same price point, so I'd assume it wouldn't be that big of a deal.
I'm thinking about upgrading my XBox to an S, but hey- if I can wait and get more better stuff, well more better is good.

It's the only way I can play fighting games without huge blisters appearing on my thumb after my 500th Hadoken.
To use a wireless 360 controller on a PC, you need a receiver and connecting it with the charging cable won't work.
It only being available bundled with a play & charge kit makes it sound like there won't be a wired version.
