Carpooling to PAX From AZ, leaving tonight

I need assistance.
A friend of mine just let me know he has an extra ticket for PAX.
I can get there, but the cost of gas (round trip) is probably going to be around $300. I likely won't be able to make the trip unless I can bring the cost down.
Trains and buses aren't much cheaper.
I need to carpool. Either join someone that's leaving tonight, or take someone with me.
I've made a post in the PAX forums http://forums.penny-arcade.com/showthread.php?t=127204 and did some searching to see if there were any carpools leaving tonight (didn't find any).
Is there more I can do? Is there a way to find people that want to go to Phoenix to Seattle (and back, preferably) that aren't necessarily going to PAX?
