I think it's most likely a case of "this character isn't playing like I imagined they would," which I don't like. If the character isn't dominating, don't take away the lynchpin of their offense.

Biz I know what you mean. Against cammy, I feel like whoever can maintain offensive momentum will win.

All rufus and cammy players are veritable cunts.

What i do is take the lead, turtle and rainbow blanka ball across the stage.

    This never works.

I feel the same way about Blanka. Every time I beat a Blanka, I want to send a message that says "..AND THAT IS WHY YOU SHOULDN'T PLAY BLANKA!"

    Ugh @ shenanigans.

(PA Blanka's excluded, for some reason you don't give the asshole vibe).

See, I find that funny since usually Cammy is a character I play extremely defensive against, only going on the attack if they're knocked down / not moving.

It's not 100% clear to me whether those changes are a nerf or a buff. TKCS is only really used in certain matches, for wakeup pressure I almost always use a delayed CS. Whether this will still work or not depends on what the height restriction is.

Those changes to her normals, however, could be ridiculous. cr. lp (which is 3 frame and chainable) linking into far hp means it is now +7 on hit, which means it can link into basically every move she has, meaning she can easily hit confirm for 300/500 without meter. The buff to cl mp means that it should be able to link into ultra on counter hit, and that move gets a lot of counter hits. The other buffs give her multiple stages of hit confirmable frame traps, which, depending on how good they are, could accomplish much of the same things that TKCS pressure could.

It's all speculation at this point, but she could come out of this change stronger.

Once I figured out Blanka shenanigans (which took me roughly 2 years) I use shenanigan happy Blanka players as a way to practice Guy's combos outside of training mode.

But when they are good Limp Bizkit's "Break Stuff" comes on and I put on my black guyliner.

I play cammy pretty poorly so I can't judge the normal buffs. I am really bad at dive kick pressure.

However I am also bad at dealing with dive kick pressure. That's why I find offense is so key, biz - cammy will get on your ass with those dive kicks and punish teleports and blocked Ex PCs. She's got a dp but it's pretty punishable and low damage as a pressure breaking reversal, so hitting her with the up close scissor pressure is usually what wins me the round vs her.

I find it similar to the Abel matchup, actually, because step kick is similar to the dive kick. He's got better mixups but his party starter doesn't chip.

And you can definitely feel input lag, especially once you start doing tight links. I used to play an a laggy LCD and never noticed, but when I played on the same TV after months of CRT and evo monitors the lag was as clear as day to me.

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

As a former guitar hero junkie I can tell you that you can definitely feel input lag.

For the record shady, octogates are the best for everything except:
    1. combos into charge ultra from a down, up motion (ie, Balrog's headbutt into ultra, Chun's Ex SBK into ultra)
    2. 2149 motions (easier to find the corner)
    3. Super jump cancels (mostly for the above reason)

Go octo for everything else. Although I haven't used one in forever.

    Anyways, new thread!
