It's my body, I'll dye if I want to (pic-heavy OP)
There are so many sci-fi scenarios where we make contact with an alien race and they're so superior and a bunch of them look down on us for being so primitive and warlike
But, man
Any advanced aliens out there are probably gonna be just as bad as us and have some reason to war on their own dudes from time to time
In fact if they are so advanced they probably got there by stomping everyone else on their planet into a fine powder
fucking up character spacing might be my number one tattoo pet peeve
FUCKING ARRGH
FIX YOUR SPACING
you're talking about Kerning!
Yes! Let's lament bad kerning together!
Print designers have a little joke - referring to bad kerning as "keming"
ha ha ha ha
I've only done print design a couple of times but remember going crazy over kerning. None of my teammates got what the big deal was, but it makes all the difference in the world.
Also, Max Kerning is amazing.
Kerning is one of those "attention to detail" things that employers are always looking for. Also bad kerning has a habit of making something look "not quite right and I don't know why".

I thought the logo/business card that we ended up with looked pretty cool but it was probably too busy looking by modern standards.

But damn I've worked with some sloppy people.
I would like to see it!
And a busy business card can totally work for the right client. You've got to remember that as a working designer, you've got to be marketable, and being marketable means changing your style to suit your client.
I've been getting about 6-7 hours of sleep a night recently, which has been a little on the low side but I've actually been functioning remarkably well because for the first time in about a year I am eating a full two meals a day
but today I woke up and was a little tired and said I'd get more sleep tonight. It is now 1:17, I want to wake up by 11, maybe a little earlier. I have been going to bed around 3 for a few months now.
do I
A) Go to bed now even though I usually have terrible luck changing my bedtime that quickly and drastically, and get a good nine or ten hours of sleep? The danger here is that I'll come to rely on 9 or 10 hours of sleep again.
or
Watch Benny & Joon, which I've never seen, and get to bed a little after three, and have a solid 8 hours of sleep, but still be going to bed a little late?

You could just got to be early and get up early
lack of sunlight can dramatically impact your health and has been strongly linked to diabetes and depression among other things. People who sleep during the day and work at night for most of their lives have a shorter lifespan by something crazy like 6 years.
edit: coming to rely on 9-10 hours a night is actually the way that most people should move. We, as a society, are chronically sleep deprived.

I do intend to change my sleep schedule someday, but right now I'm a social 20-year-old in college who does his best writing at night and suffers from insomnia, and I've contented myself with the fact that this is the way things are for now.
I am not too worried about waking up at 10 or 11, though. When I was in high school I regularly slept past noon on the weekends, and I still know of folks who can lie in bed until three -- that is terrifying to me. Sleeping until 10, though, that's fine by me.

not really
I mean, without war what will we do with all our guns
You're the reason there is war
Shoot animals?
Naw!
People are more fun to shoot.
Attacking the enemy with snuggles and naked tousles, that seems preferable to bombs and bullets.

Money.
think of the poor, innocent guns
lying there unused
you heartless wretches
how do you sleep
does the weeping of the bullets not rend your dreams

not always, but often
I guess you might be able to fit a muzzle up a butt. You know, Gay Bomb.
but first let's sell the tv and movie rights of the war so we can be rollin' in fat stacks of cash
I saw this happen in a movie last night played for laughs.
The gun up a butt part that is.
I would like to see it!
