iv just updated my graphics driver in a desperate bid to get dead space to run smoothly , the graphics are even better now but the controlls still lag both mouse and xbox 360 which are both 32 bit drivers now as i understand it "bits" are the rate at which information is exchanged . so on windows 64 bit the controlls are communicating at only 50% of its potential , iv tried windows updates only to be informed that the most up to date/required driver is installed ,which is that dammed slow arse 32bit .
has anyone else found a solution to this problem or a reliable site for a free 64 bit driver download that wont screw up my pc ?

I was gonna give you a serious reply but your nick is a little disturbing - you should think about a change!

Anyway as a gesturre of good will here is a short version of my planned answer. Your 32 bit controller drivers that is not likely to be the problem as 32 bit vs 64 bit is not as simple as you think. Try turning down the graphics and see what happens.

    Turn off vsync.

edit: and while the above sentence is everything you need to know about getting your Dead Space controls to work (it's even in the title of our Dead Space thread) I feel I should probably mention that you're more wrong about 32/64 bit than Holocaust deniers are wrong about what went on in Germany in the '40s, just so you don't go around carrying that misconception with you for the rest of your life. The truth of the matter is a little complex but suffice to say just forget everything you think you know about what a bit means and what 32 vs 64 bit means and you'll be much better off.

Yep, this is an issue with Deadspace. Turn off V-sync, set sensitivity to the max.

I liked it though, it made the game more immersive, since I always figured your character could only move slowly in that iron suit.

Not a fan of classic British comedy then, Zen?

Edward Elizabeth Hitler was a character played by Ade Edmonson in the amazing comedy show, Bottom. It's the show that followed The Young Ones. Eddie's partner in crime in Bottom was Richard Richard, played by Rik Mayall

If you like british cult comedy, you should check it out ;)

Agree with other posters with regards V-sync... I've had this problem in a lot of games, most recently Borderlands.

    Thx for the info.

Believe it or not I' actually a big fan of British comedy but not all of it. I never took to The Young Ones much and the follow up series does not ring a bell. However even if I had know of the character in question I'd still say it would be questionable being so much out of context.

For the record here are some of the British comedy series I enjoy (some I'm even crazy about):

Coupling (And let me admit just about anything by Moffat)
    The Green Wing
    Men behaving badly
    Black Adder
    Smack the Pony
    The IT crowd
Cold Feet (Not a comedy show as such but the humor in it is great).
Monty Python - almost all of it
    Fawlty Towers
    Allo, Allo
    Benny Hill (Okay, not really)

On the list above I'd say Coupling is the best thing. Even the US remake is okay but the original is perfect.
