Sick and reports of being sick

Has anyone here been diagnosed with symptoms of serious or virulent diseases?

I have not but I just wanted to know because I am around a small child at home.

I have heard no reports of it. It is completely unscientific and an incredibly small sample, but none of the friends that I went to PAX with this year, nor myself, are feeling symptoms of anything at all. It looked like it was a fairly healthy convention this year. There weren't any living plague bombs floating around this year, it looks like. The worst sign of illness that I saw was the evidence of some poor sod who threw up in and around the second floor men's room, and there are many, many reasons why he might have been throwing up.

Happy to say I am also feelin' fine aside from the standard post-PAX melancholy. I had swine flu by this time last year. I hand sanitized the crap out of myself (figuratively) this year.

I've not heard of anything either. I had a scratchy throat towards saturday evening, but I think that was from me talking almost constantly to the people at the steel battalion metacampaign. regardless, I drank a quart of orange juice and felt better for it.

    [mandatoryjoco]I feel fantastic![/mandatoryjoco]

Save for a worn out voice from screaming so much, I feel great. About the only bad thing I got from PAX was disappointment from Goldeneye.

Bit of a head cold today; sneezing, runny nose, mild fever. Should be gone by morning.

Had a bit of a Sinus Headache/Scratchy Throat on Saturday.

Became painful chest cold Sunday morning. Decided to stay home and lent a friend my 3 day badge. Been held up in bed trying to purge the sickness out with as much water and sleep as humanly possible over the last two days.

A shame I didn't get to trade buttons very much this weekend : /

I'm fine, but I was really worried about the girl at the Patriot Memory booth putting tattoos on people while hacking up a lung. I just moved along and skipped that raffle.

Other than a really sore back from hauling around a 40lb bag (seriously. I weighed it) and some pretty ugly bruising from the expo hall (thanks to the dicks who thought shoving around a girl on crutches to get at the swag was a good idea) no paxpox or consars to report.

Just your run of the mill low-level concrud. Headache, sniffly nose, and sore throat. A day at home has helped, and I should be fine completely in another day or two.

I have next to no voice right now, mild cough but otherwise pretty good. I had a teenager sit half in my lap on Friday in line for a panel, he was hacking up a lung - hoping I don't get what he had!

I just got diagnosed with Keanu syndrome.

I just like to sadly sit in public, and have an overwhelming desire to eat sandwiches and say "dude" a lot.

Started getting a sore throat on Sunday and I have a runny nose now too. Doesn't seem too serious though.

I also had very little sleep though since I had a 7AM flight.

I think I might've caught something thanks to the couple that sat next to me at the Omegathon Final Round.

They were both coughing incessantly and not really covering their mouths.

    Right on.

I think I caught my first cold in like five years. Probably from the lightrail thing to the airport though, since it didn't really set in until I was an hour into my flight. I wonder if it's influenced by feeling like crap knowing that PAX is over and I may be unable to afford going next year or the one after that.

Having a good number of hand-sanitizers peppered throughout the convention seems to have helped a lot. I have a fever that comes and goes at random, but that could be related to my current intake of particular foods (I have a dairy and wheat allergy, not too bad, but it can cause tiredness).

Has it been pointed out that the escalator handrails are probably the most filthy things you could put your hands on?

I realized this at about 5pm Sunday.
