For the last few days, every now and then I become aware of how heavy my limbs are. It's almost as if my muscles have decided to go much more limp than they usually do when my limbs remain stationary. However, when I go to move my arms they respond normally, but I can almost imperceptibly feel a tiny mount of inertia before they get going, as if it takes slightly more effort to get them moving.
I'm definately going to see a doctor about this, but I was wondering if anyone else had an experience with this?
It started with my left arm, actually, but now all my limbs will feel limp if not used.
Another thing that happened was a couple of days ago for like half a second, there was a weird feeling inside my forward upper head. It was like the roots of my hair were tingling or quivering, but actually inside my skull rather than on my scalp. That definately freaked me out.

IANAD, but this could be anything, from nothing, to nerve damage, to simply weak muscles. I'd get it checked out if at all possible. If it is something serious, you'll want to get on it right away.
not a doctor, not a lawyer, examples I use may not be fully researched so don't take out of context plz, don't @ me

my guess would be high blood pressure.
Also, not to scare you or anything, but I seem to recall a doctor equating left arm problems with possible heart problems but I can't remember if it was pain in the arm or numbness in the arm. Either way I'm not a doctor.
Numbness, usually indicates a heart attack. Heavy arms is usually other things. Scary things: Rabies, lyme disease, Guillian-Barre, MS Non-scary things: anxiety, b12 deficiency, TOS, pinched nerve
The list is huge. Obviously we can rule out Rabies, and probably lyme disease.

I'm going to echo the blood pressure possibility. It's happened to me before, and I narrowed it down to waaaaay too much sodium in my diet which was causing my blood pressure to skyrocket. Make notes about what you eat and keep track of the sodium content in it. My parents both suffer from high blood pressure and I'm sensitive to sodium in general, and my limbs would all feel very weak like I was sugar or caffeine crashing or something.
Not saying this is what's happening, obviously, but since I cut out much of the sodium in my diet I've felt a lot better. I was also tired and took 2-3 hour naps after getting home from work daily.

Lovely free NHS...
Thanks for the advice.

With this your limbs can go numb, this is extreme but not impossible.
Indeed, worst case scenario, but he says it started with his arms, so, probably not the case.
Still a scenario.
What else can we make you paranoid with?
