Okay, in Green Lantern #52 this week Larfleeze is still up to his lovable and avaricious antics (or possibly shenanigans). He is certainly earning his keep as grade A supporting character for Hal Jordan and continues to make me cry aloud with mirth and merriment, especially when I happen upon scenes such as this:
This is my MotW, and yes, he is in Las Vegas. But that moment aside I have to draw attention to what has been the most action packed mini (for me by far) to ever grace the stacks of comics in my possession. X-Force: Sex and Violence has been a thoroughly awesome, if simplistic, 3 part mini that has been literally nothing but killing ninjas/assassins and pages of Wolverine and Domino having crazy, violent sex, or alluding to such. The artwork itself has also been completely stunning and I just simply have to share this one scene which comes closes to encompassing the awesome of this mini in two pages. Seriously, buy the trade when you get a chance.
If you can't beat them, arrange to have them beaten in your presence.
Mentioned this already in the alternative comics thread but finding the first Image Casanova trade at my LCS when it's currently unavailable online was my MotW.

Oooh that is pretty art from Sex and Violence.
Here is only some of the awesome from Thanos Imperative #4 with Silver Surfer AKA Norrim McDonald (see what I did there):
And in Thor: Mighty Avenger #4, it is one of the best single issues i've read this year. Captain Britain shows up! Fandral thinks a girl slipping him her number on a piece of paper is witchcraft! Thor asks for directions to a Nordic bar and Volstagg thinks that makes him a woman! It's seriously a great book pick it up! Too many exclamation points!:
Seriously, Thor started a fight because he didn't like the answer he was getting in regards to directions, That's so Thor.
And finally, one funny panel from Batman #703, no context needed:
I'm not sure if it was this week or last, but my moment is the whole of '1 Month 2 Live' from Marvel. Thought it was going to be tacky, try hard, tear-jerker but it's kind of in the style (story, not art) of "Marvels" (the one with the Phil Urich analogue in it). Looks like it's gonna be a good mini!

Last week actually, and I agree. Really pumped for this one, and I went in not expecting much.
I'm not sure about it, just due to each issue having a different writer. It seems like it will lead to an uneven reading experience, just by its very nature.

BALLS! Knew it was weekly, didn't however notice the differing writers. I hope this doesn't dissapoint.

Pfft, all it takes to kill a C-Lister like Domino is a summer mega-event, THE GREATEST THREAT THE X-MEN HAVE EVER FACED, and a pithy one-liner like, "It looks like your luck has just run out."

What a great book.
Larfleeze: "I want to be queen..."
Is Marvel just going to act like MI-13 never happened?
