Did you check to see if the lug nuts are tight? You'll get a nice vibration right before they fall off and your wheel rolls away without you.

Otherwise, is it 4WD? How many miles?

Could be several things. First thing I would look at is a broken belt in the tire. (you wouldn't see this per se, your tread could still look ok but could feel it with your you hand as the tire is turned at a decent rate of speed). The way I check is get in on a lift and spin it good but this may not be an option for you.

You said it's a truck, is it 4 wheel or 2 wheel drive. What kind of truck?

4WD 1993 toyota pickup standard. And it's not so much a vibration as a *thud. thud. thud. THUD. THUD. THUD.THUD.THUD.THUDTHUDTHUDTHUD*

I assume you looked around it. Tie rod etc in tact?

Is there a nail or screw embedded in the tread? That can cause thumping noises like what you describe, and if it's in there just right, it won't even deflate the tire.

It might be worth it to take it to a tire place and have them check it.

Is it a thudding noise only? Or is there also a shudder to the car? My Mom's truck had a terrible shimmy when driving between 20-40 and it was a mix of the tire belt disintegrating and the tie rods needing to be replaced (which were both mentioned above).

first... check the mudflaps to make sure that one of them didn't come loose and is scraping against the tire. this happened to me on my last car.

No flat spots on the tyre? Balance weight is still on the rim? Is there anything twisted around the axle?

I had the exact same symptoms caused by a seized front caliper. The rotor warps and then this starts happening. At first it was pretty minor, but within a few days it got very loud.
