So on this day, September 13th, 1985, in Japan, a little game called "Super Mario Bros." was released for the Famicom. It showed it's face in US in March of '86 and in Europe in May of '87. It was the best-selling game of all time for over two decades and is largely thought of as the savior of the home videogame market in the mid eighties, bringing an industry back from the brink of collapse and making Nintendo and "Mario" a household name for years to come.
