Thats a very good tv. Its not an amazing deal or anything. Most places online sell it for $200-300 more but at some places you can get it for 1600-1700

I'd personally stay away from plasma screens. They look nice, but are prone to burn in. Which is bad if you want to play games on it.
Get a DLP, LCD or LCD projection for less money. More durable, though you have to buy new bulbs periodically for DLPs and LCD projection.
I've had mine for about a year and a half, and haven't had to replace the bulb yet, though.
They are more prone but it doesn't happen to every set. Get a protection plan and you won't have to worry about it. This is a good TV especially for the size, and if the price is to your fancy go for it.
