It's that time again, folks. It's
24-Hour Comics Day time!
For those of you who don't know anything, 24-Hour Comics Day is an annual, international event where artists traditionally attempt to make a 24-page (or 100-panel, whichever they prefer) comic over a period of 24 hours. They can do whatever they like in those 24 hours, but as soon as they start working, the clock is ticking, so they'd best spend their time wisely if they want to actually finish in time.
If an artist can't manage to finish in time, they have two options. Option one is to complete the comic anyway, and option two is to stop.
I've participated every year since 2007, and I've never managed to finish one. I'm really going to give it my best this year, however, so fingers crossed.
Here's some previous attempts on these forums. Feel free to check them out.

I'm starting this thread now because it'll just take time I won't be able to miss otherwise, and this way anyone else who wants to participate, but only just heard of it has some time to prepare. Expect my pages to start showing up about fourteen hours from now.

Good luck, though! This always seems like fun!
Look forward to seeing what others can come up with.

A) Not do this
Do lots and lots of 'Whomp!'
C) Work on that graphic novel I've been wanting to do. *voice gets progressively higher* The one about the hero's journey *voice gets higher still* Where the protagonist endures not only physical trials, but social ones as well. *voice returns to normal* Yeah, I gotta get right on that.
But I am going to fail, as I have to deliver my offspring to Ballet class, a Soccer game, and an out-of-town birthday party.
Plus, ESPN Gameday is in town, which makes this place go bananas with the traffic.
With those excuses lined up, I'm ready. Let's do this thing.
That said, I am going to do 24 1-hour, three-panel comics (which differs from my normal 6-15 panels) all based on video games. It's something that's going to be fun for me, and I think I shouldn't be afraid to let some of them be "You gotta play the game to know." But there will be so many, someone is bound to have played at least a few.
Now the question is, do I just shove them in my blog as I finish... with my mighty double-digit readership, or should I just dish them out four at a time at my usual update days.
Welp, I'm sure you all couldn't wait to hear what I had planned! Hah! Riveting entertainment.
it better be soon
I'm doing 24 doodle minicomics, which while not particularly stressful art-wise is impossible to think of ideas for
fun though, having to do such a quantity that it doesn't matter if some of them aren't that funny!

VVVVVVICTORYYYYYY!
Awesome that you managed to do it! Your 2007 attempt isn't online anymore, though, you probably need to rehost it. And those comics we did together have also been down for a while.
But yeah, I can't wait to see your attempt!
This rush-job pace was a great test of my comics making process, and uncovered a lot of inefficiencies.
Wound up completing 8 layouts, two penciled pages, and a 24-page script that I like quite a bit. Given that's a lot more than the usual weekend output, I'm calling 24 hour comics day a
Count me in for next year.
Despite it taking forever, the art and lettering still looks rushed. I think I'm just gonna keep working on it till it's done.
and get back to work on my script
Actually I blame a shitty flu and candy ass company ... AND YOU.
And obviously I have been siphoning your power.
