Hey SiG, did you see the thing that Himanshu Suri from Das Racist wrote about Outsourced on Videogum?
While Outsourced is great in that it puts more Indian actors on TV, the question of cost has to be asked. I defer to African-Americans on issues of minstrel in this country and whether it’s worth it or not. Oh, nah? It’s not. Okay. What the fuck!!! While part of me wants this show to succeed because I know Panjabi MC only has one successful song and they’re going to look towards other artists to throw sync money at, I still hope this show tanks and a bunch of suits realize we (Indian people) just became visible on television and in film in this country so there’s no need to jump the gun? Jump the shark? (That one joke about Indians being bad at American expressions was a good one in retrospect). Besides, there’s a funny way to do racial humor and office jokes and Outsourced is not it.

Man I don't even know, it's like I take to vi and bash really well and then I get my first taste of Ubuntu and OpenSUSE and Mandriva and I'm thinking if all my shit worked on those I would be using Linux so fast
As it is I don't have enough space on my hard drive to even install the OS on a separate partition so poo.
Something similar (though less intense and without any supernatural connotations) happened to me once.
yeah, a couple of good friends of mine had a bad accident
they were both about 16 or 17, due to some family troubles one had to leave home and the other came with for support. they were going to Bishop in California to do some rock climbing. it was decided that they would make the drive from Colorado to California without stopping
my friend in the passenger seat falls asleep.
my friend in the driver's seat falls asleep.
the car drove off the road down a hill. they flipped it 3 or 4 times. it was the middle of nowhere, so while they were covered in blood and glass they had to try and hitch a ride to the hospital

I agree with this
THe fundamental problem with the show is that it is not funny

Tonight's was way funnier than last week's.
Though, when they were doing the promo, and one of the reviews was "the perfect companion to The Office," my comment was "someone really hates The Office."

A new record. 15 minutes straight without coughing. Either this means I'm getting better or the generic dayquil works better than the generic nyquil. I'm guessing the latter, given how much I was coughing without the dayquil a couple hours ago.

It was cliched, completely insensitive, and I hate the main character
The B plot was the only good thing and that wasn't humorous it was sweet

I think the reason that show works for me where other awkward humor based comedies don't is that Larry is so unlikable I never ever cringe when he gets himself into shit. It allows me to actually laugh at the situations.
I'm like "AHAHA FUCK YOU LARRY DEAL WITH THE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR BAD DECISIONS"
i can't even watch it because i dislike his character so much

Get Arch Linux and drown yourself in the Linux. Breathe in big gulps of it and face death with a slouched penguin at your side.
What are the advantages?
Also Cass I'll be back in like 5 minutes. Call me if I'm not.
Honestly it isn't a good idea to start with if you're doing this for school, I was just joking. Arch Linux is extremely customizable and installs very cleanly but it drops you into a command line and you're forced to configure pretty much everything yourself.

I liked the American version of the Office, from what I remember of it. Haven't seen Parks and Rec or Outsourced.
Thick of It is a pretty good British comedy in that area.
The American Office hasn't been good in 3 years. It became something else, more generic and inane/ridiculous. Each character is a caricature of their early selves.
Also, I'm almost done Black Books! One series left.

Yeah that might count.
