Internet suddenly went to crap

So I've been with Bresnan high speed cable for probably 6 years. Recently they upgraded their "system" because of this my old model modem didn't work at all anymore, so I went down and got the official modem for the new network. Hooked it up, and all is fine. Except it isn't.

I randomly and frequently get no internet. The modem brand is Ubee, the lights on it are in order:
Power Enet send recieve sync ready

When I'm using the internet, all lights are lit up and send blinks, when it stops working, all lights are lit up and send does not blink. Windows tries to diagnose the problem and says it may be a DNS issue. I've called Bresnan multiple times, and they say there is nothing wrong they can detect on my end, and tell me endlessly to unplug my modem and plug it back in, which never does anything.

Any ideas?

This is why you pay for service. Call them till they fix it. Or threaten to cancel if they don't act.

Your symptoms are consistent with a signal degradation issue. Maybe the new modem doesn't broadcast/receive as strongly as the old one. are there any splitters between the modem and the road? Is this cable or DSL?

Is this company your only option for internet? Tell them they need to get a tech out to your house or you're going to switch companies. Nicely of course.

When I first signed up with them, they were one of the only players in town for high speed. Now I think there is comcast to compete with cable, and maybe about 3 or 4 companies that offer DSL.

You can go to 192.168.100.1 to pull up the signal information of your modem, if you post any of the signals here we can tell you how those are. I will say though ubee, who was formerly ambit, make poor, cheaply made, modems so if at all possible trade that in for a different brand.
