I loved FFXI and I was hoping this would be like it, but improved.
I'm not going to say it's completely terrible. I play and enjoy it. But its flaws are numerous and severe and frankly the game should have been in development for at least 6 more months.
Are these things that can be fixed in future patches/expansions?
If the game sucks, I'll just hold out for Biowares Star Wars MMO.

I don't think the combat will ever not be mediocre, but they could eventually patch fixes to the lack of compelling content and the lack of an auction house if they so choose.
