gosh i love wordpress. i hope there are folks who love wordpress here too.

does anyone know of a decent wordpress plugin that generates a calendar for events scheduling? as in, you can enter in events and events details via the wordpress backend and wordpress can generate a calendar listing those events on the web frontend? i've gone through the plugins directory on the main wordpress site, but it seems the majority of the plugins no longer work. i did see something called "My Calendar" which looks promising.

are there any other plugins out there that people know about or have used and like?

I've been using this one The Events Calendar.. It's pretty easy to set up and use.

so that's two votes in favor of Events Calendar...is it easy to customize the output? like, is the CSS clear enough?

also, is this capable of outputting each event as a post?

I'm not sure about bsJezz's plugin but the one I've been using essentially has each event as a post in it's own category then blocks that category from appearing in the normal post lists. and you can customize the templates to your heart's content.
