Will my North American Gamecube work on a UK Television?

I know that the game and systems are region-locked, but I'm wondering if I could ship out my gamecube to the UK and hook it up to my TV here. Would the games still be playable? Thanks y'all.

Depends on the TV. Americans use the red-yellow-white cable thing, yeah? Some European TVs have that too, but they also have SCART plugs. You may need an adapter for it.

As well as an adapter for the power plug.

It should play well enough, assuming you have one of the newer 60hz TV's. YOu'll have to buy a new PSU and vidoe cable though

The wires from the Cube are these right?

All but the oldest of TVs will have the input for those and be fine with the 60Hz signal. Just make sure to pick up a power plug adaptor and I expect you'll be golden.

However. The main issue here is that I'd imagine a second hand UK Cube would be less than the shipping cost of sending yours over.

I'd say your best bet is getting a UK Cube (most high street game stores do second hand stuff) and a Freeloader disc and just get your games sent over.
