The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
If there's a steady paycheck in it, I'll believe anything you say.
I keep seeing job postings for positions that are pretty much my current job but based in London / Manchester with nearly double my current salary, fancy chairs, office snacks, free drinks and meals and other cool stuff.
Meanwhile my chair had an armrest fall off a while back.

Who has two thumbs and a job and the Fed?

This guy right here.
Took them two weeks longer to get back to me than they said it would, but hey I got the job. I wish it was going to last longer than two months though.
No, I'm fine. I'm actually in NYC right now on vacation and got the call in times square, but people were texting me all day yesterday to ask me about it. Pretty stressful.

Guys I seriously love this new job. It feels so good to have regular employment. I dunno, like I just really enjoy having something to go to in the morning, feeling like I'm accomplishing something.
what are you going to do while working for the most evil bank in the world?
(I am just kidding, it is only like the third most evil bank in the world)
(seriously, what are you doing?)
My title is Economic Outreach Intern so I'll help put together ways of explaining what the Fed actually does to people, the target audience is middle school kids but it's for anyone who wants it. I'll also lead tours around the Fed every once in a while and help with conference stuff within our district so I'll probably get paid to go to D.C. at least once between now and when this ends. In addition to actual job stuff I'm going to try and network like hell with these people and see if I can get some awesome letters of recommendation/references for grad school applications.
I'm already kind of bummed knowing it'll only be two months because this is probably going to be the best job I get while I'm still in school, satisfaction and pay wise.
Looks like I'm quitting my shitty retail job to back to my shitty design job because they want me part time and will guarantee me 16-24 hours a week. No idea for how long but if it doesn't last for more than 3 months it's not like it's hard to land shitty retail work.
At least for the 3 months I don't dread going to work every single day and I make some extra money and I can still go to class. Net win!

I will be writing legal memos in an 11th floor office on lower Broadway
you can hit Wall St. with a rock from the front door of this place

still want a job that is more satisfying, though
I've discovered I'm easily amused as I currently have a Virtual PC set up with Windows XP to run some software that seems to loathe Windows 7.
My current one is great, but I work from home and it gets lonely.
Wouldn't mind having an office to go to, and people to see face to face.
Then again, looking for a new job kind of terrifies me.
yup
he told me to dispense with the letters of recommendation and he would just see how I performed.

That's just the ulcer I've given myself over the past two months acting up.
This is more than I can say about job hunting for the last year.

A number of us would love to have some bags of unmarked economic outreach. Could you give us a general GPS readout to meet up?
Congrats to all the folks getting jobs. Seems to be a few.

Unfortunately I don't have much experience with SAP, but from what I'm told most ERP systems are similar enough that I could pick it up pretty easy.
