I've noticed that most rank 1 people in leagues are usually there because they're 100% pertinent to that league.
The longer you stay in a same league, the higher your points will be.
Oh yeah, I'm not complaining about the system, I'm just pissed that I'm not making progress. I mean, I'm sure I'm getting better, I guess I'm just not getting better as fast as other people. I know a hell of a lot more about the game and it's strategies, I just can't seem to utilise what I've learnt.

Same problem with me, I feel I am getting better, but the other players around me are doing so in a faster way as well.
However I still consistently beat Terran with 5RR 8-)
Yesterday, in a 4v4, I went mass Ravens into mass Banshees and I just killed probes and seeker missiled queens all day cause 4s are silly and you can't take them seriously. So fun.
I also made marines and helions.

league wins doesnt mean a lot
i've faced people with over five hundred league wins and I don't have even fifty yet and crushed them because all they know how to do is one thing.
In my experience 95% of Diamond protoss players either 4gate every game or 2gate Robo every game, and with proper macro, a 2gate robo build can beat both of those AND transition better to midgame than 4gate.
I just obsed a custom game between some new acquaintances. Protoss player is diamond in all four leagues with close to a thousand league wins.
Protoss 4-gates, crushes zerg. Other observer jokes, "Finish him off with a mothership!"
Says the 4-gating protoss, "I don't know how to build a mothership."

you've never went Carriers or Void Rays?
Don't need FB for Void Rays.
Yeah, I know. But you do need one for the speed upgrade, which is important if you want to keep using void rays against an opponent who knows you're using void rays.
However I still consistently beat Terran with 5RR 8-)
Man are you going to be sad when that stops working. I swear 75% of my TvZ games now start with a 5RR or 7RR, which can be stopped by exactly one marauder in a bunker. Then half of those people fall apart in the post 7 minute game, because they aren't used to being there.

5RR is like the poor cousin of the toss 4-gate.
Yeah, what I meant to say is that so many people still lose to it, and that they haven't gotten better against it. I already know when the 5RR push will fail by simple scouting, either by a Marauder or a good wall-in, so I immediately expand instead of pumping more lings, and transition to banelings/mutas.
Those are pretty geat to watch, what still intrigues me is how Fruitdealer goes 10 OL.

Man, I just had a 2v2 with a friend that did a 180 simply because of 3 Ravens. We were begin stomped, and ready to GG as an army easily twice the food of ours rolled up on our base doorstep. It was mostly Marines, a bunch of Mutas, and a few Dropships. In retrospect, I don't know why they even hit the front door.
All I had left was a handful of Marines and a couple bunkers to hide in. This combined blob was sitting on the cliff below my base breaking open my supply wall, when I remembered I had 3 ravens with full upgrades. Moved them into the battle and lobbed 3 HSMs into their lines. And then I remembered that HSM hits ground AND air, and they were all stacked up...

What gets me is that his macro is so fierce yet his injects are relatively poor. He only binds his main and natural and uses either the minimap or backspace to get to his 3rd+. By the end of each game, his primary queens are sitting at near full energy.

Got high hopes for idra now, he is insanely dominant in games so far, and I had the impression Gon was fairly good.
