Back when we launched 360Zine, I posted on here and we had an interesting discussion (
http://www.penny-arcade.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1073839702) on the mag and mags in general. I also had a chat with a mod who said it was OK to post, so I thought I'd let everyone know that issue 2 has been published.
Hopefully there's lots in here of interest to people. Issue 2 has a roundup of info on Halo 3 and a big preview of Fable 2, plus an exclusive interview with CliffyB, the lead designer on Gears of War. There's loads of other stuff, reviews, etc too.
As before, the mag is free to download and no registration. It's in PDF format, so you just require Adobe Reader*.
You can get this issue from

I'd love to know what people think of the interactivity this time around as we've worked to make it even more fun, like the quizzes on Halo 3 and Fable 2. Let us know.
Oh, and the other news is that the magazine goes monthly as of this issue.
[edit] I should have mentioned, this is only intended for broadband users; the mag is 22Mbs download.[/edit]
* A note on this: really, we're aimed at PC users, but the mag will work on a Mac as long as you use Adobe Reader, not the PDF preview viewer, and accept that the interactivity will work, but not the videos. On a PC, we also recommend using version 8, because it's more secure and it fixes issues introduced by Internet Explorer 7. The mag should work on any version past Adobe Reader 6, but if you have problems, it's likely to be IE7! Yes, we would prefer the mag to work in all PDF viewers, but this is not something we have control over - Adobe only released the specs for PDF 1.0 and we have to use PDF 1.5 for the multimedia.

Good stuff.
I don't want to hurt your feelings, but CliffyB may be cheating on you. Check out February's issue of EGM.
Because it's monthly, there will be some occasions where review or previews are late, and some where they are early. However, our aim is to bring together everything for that month into one place, like a "normal" magazine, and do the job of a normal magazine, which is to keep people updated about all the games - most people don't check out the very latest info on every game, they do so on maybe the one or two they are most interested in, so the rest of the mag is new to them.
Also, we've tried to make it an entertaining read, hence things like the multimedia, so that even if some of it isn't new to you, you still enjoy the experience.

Glad you liked it, that's a great example of where we tried to do what a normal mag does, bring together all the info that's known, but present it in an interesting manner so that even people who know it all still enjoy it.

Issue 2 includes an exclusive hands-on preview of Lord of the Rings Online, together with other previews of Fields Ops, Vanguard and a special preview of S.T.A.L.K.E.R, which includes the chance for readers to win on of 50 beta keys to play the game before their friends!
There’s an exclusive interview with Paul Wedgwood, better known as Locki from Splash Damage, talking about the development of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, one of 2007’s most anticipated PC games.
Filling out the rest of the free magazine are reviews of Maelstrom, Armed Assault, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, Star Trek: Legacy and a feature on the implication of Windows Vista for gamers.
Usual stuff: free download, etc from http://www.gamerzines.com/. I look forward to people's thought. Hope you enjoy.
