Easiest way to make a stylish personal web page - html editor

I own my own domain name and have hosting. Right now I'm using it for storage and a Wordpress blog.
What I'd really like is a stylish landing page like something you would see made on flavors.me that I can use as page to direct towards twitter, blogs, and various projects I'm working on. I would use flavors.me, but I don't really feel like forking over the money for a premium account, which is required if you want your page to exist anywhere other than flavors.me/username. Since I own my domain and can do whatever I want, I figured it would be easy enough to put up a page with a cool picture and some links.
I don't, however, know how to do that or what tools I should use. I guess what I'm looking for is an easy to use WYSIWYG html editor so I can make this one page and move on to work/the projects I'm working on.
Any suggestions for the best course of action? Would it be easiest just to set up a redirect so that when people go to my website they're automatically forwarded to flavors.me (or similar?)
